the link on the first page cannot access leh, Got another link? I want to send my 2 cents worth of appeal letter to them also.

Idea of parking in Sentosa after entrance makes sense. I love to go the beach at Sentosa. Its the nicest and cleanest beach. But because i have to park at the bus interchange opposite and take bus in, i go to East Coast instead. So i will petition :) somtimes you dun see so many people carry helmets around inside because some like me simply find it too much a hassle to go there anymore.

indeed it is not a matter of how ggod the transport sys is into sentosa. for bikers, there is simply not much place you can park your bike when u visit that area...

whole area is anti bikers. no parking lots...the interchange ones are too far and overcrowded already, so it's high time they build some parking lots for bikers nearer to the entrance at least.

From the Straits Times Forum (H12) last week:

Sentosa won't let traffic spoil its tranquillity

I THANK Mr Lau Kai Guan for his letter, "Don't let traffic ruin beauty of Sentosa" (ST, Feb 22).

Sentosa's award-winning Sentosa Flowers festival held during Chinese New Year is now into its third year and attracts a record number of visitors daily.

On the second day of the new year, when Mr Lau visited with his family, the resort island received more than 80,000 guests. We regret that Mr Lau was inconvenienced by the vehicular congestion.

As Singapore's premier island getaway, our transport system takes into consideration the needs of residents, golf club members and hotel guests, as well as day-trippers.

Depending on their convenience and lifestyle, guests can enter the island by different modes of transport, namely cable car, private cars, taxis, Sentosa buses or Sentosa Express trains.

We encourage guests to park their vehicles and use the internal transport system to move to the different parts of the island. This is our ongoing strategy to maintain the island's serenity and tranquillity.

We will continue to work with the authorities and our existing and future partners to manage the impact of vehicular traffic in the coming years.

We thank Mr Lau for his suggestions and will take them into consideration with the island's overall plans and future development.

I just happened to read it, thought should share with you guys Sentosa's view on vehicles.

I'm not sure who is Mr Lau or what he wrote though, cos I don't buy ST often.

:btw: My views are that bikes should be allowed in, and parked in allocated parking space. Same as some of you here.

nop. im a bike rider myself. i really hope tat Sentosa would not allow bikes to enter. it would be madness. so messy. anyway wats the big deal if we have to park our bikes at Siah Im food centre or VivoCity and take the bus or the train in. its not diffucult. it just take abit if effort.

Maybe Sentosa will be better without motorcycles.. 90 percent riders are good..10 percent will create lots of noise and race here and there. accidents are more likely to happen.

At least if we park near our vicinity or somewhere that we ken see our bike is all we ask for.. we are 1/4 d size of a car lei... d size of squash court is gd enuf :pity:

Bikes race and make alot of noise? Cars dont? Whats with all this discrimation bullshit. If they want people to use their excellent internal transport system, remove congestion and maintain the so called bloody serenity and peace, ban all bloody private transport. Maybe then ill believe the shi*t that they are sprouting through their mouths and noses.

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

Recently just saw a few Singapore bikes coming out from Sentosa... Have they allow it already or what?

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

Lastly i seriously think that it is never going to happen.

Lets say, they give us some leeway and allow bikes in. Then some goons or some neighbouring rempits decide to have some fun on the island, i am sure the priviliges will be revoked immediately.

So, a few years worth of petitioning will go down in a matter of days/weeks.

The orders must be either too many or simply a big one in order to need a few big bikes to go deliver there... hehehehe...

I don't agree with this.....

If we stop all things for fear something will go wrong, then might as well just stay at home wand wait to ***? :cheeky:

Cars or bikes alike, they can create havoc if it falls into the wrong hands. If this is properly managed, the issues can be addressed. Do we want to work on a WIN-WIN solution or do we simply allow someone to provide a WIN-LOSE solution?

I drive and ride, hence not much impact on me but I do feel for the generally good bikers (probably 99%). The % is debatable but this ratio is applicable for car drivers too.

FYI, I saw Sentosa TP booking and taking pictures of those cars who parked illegally on the island.... :cheeky: .... does it mean they are going to ban cars going in?

Dont blame the Harleys, its a legend bike because of their exhaust after all they are legal, I'm not a harley owner but I support their cause, they are bunch of riders who often do charity ride. Hogs might be thundering down the roads but they are responsible riders like you and the motorcycling community.

I heard a big shot at One Degree 15 Marina owns a BMW K1200, they have special pass to ride in.

The BMW club organised a ride to Sentosa before... so it is who you know...sigh...
