Here in the States, Dainese are considered the top of the line suit period. Spyke are on par with Alpinestars. Those dainese suit cost as much as your new bike in singapore. Texport has been around but rarely spoken for in the States. In the UK maybe so....

i have the GPU suit by Alpinestars but i wish for the smx version suit. If i haev that cash laying around, you bet dainese will be on my shopping list.

What do you know about bike prices in Singapore ya septic muppet:bouncefire:

You dont know fark all about lethers either:nono:

Having crash tested a dainese K suit at Sepang I can say with confidence that they aint that good.

I have a Texport suit and its just as good as the Dianese suit at a fraction of the price. If you can afford it go Technik, the kangaroo skin gloves rock:bounce:

Whatsup Yall,

Recentally done with my track equiping purchases. Got this Fieldsheer suit from Speedy81, who rides a VFR( Good luck with your attachment in HK bro). A little loose on the waist, but overall in great condition.

Although buying protective gear is can be quite costly, what most important lies on your well-being. I rather skip movie-going and save myself dollars and cents than seeing my skin on the tarmec.

If you are able to spend time and effort sourcing for 2nd hand stuff, you can definately get bargains out there.

Btw: I ride a red RVF and my suit is blue. Bad colour match =) .

See you guys at PG.

Erm... anyone knows where to get Arlen Ness kangaroo leather 1 piece suits...?? How much are they...?? Different models...??

Can you guys recommend any other brand/model of good 1 piece suits with ventilation, around the budget of about $1000 to $1400...??

Ride fast but safe... Skills matters most... the slow ONE... I WAS TOO SLOW at 1min 50.9sec :D

Past rides: Quite a few and different types

For your Budget , you can also look at CLover RC100 1 piece suits. Chiap Lee has this range.

I think Dainese has some models which are around there price.

you can go for Rev-it suits. very good quality and solid make.

biketech 21 available.

made in Netherlands.:thumb:

i'm personally using Clover RC100 with speedhump. highly recommended as well

clover RC100 is voted the best 1 piece suit by Bike magazine

tried the Rev-it suit at biketech21 today. quite fun! wah i look damn good in a suit manz! :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

anyway, noticed that the Rev-it suit i tried not so bent at the elbows as compared to the Texport. Any reason? Why is Texport make more raw?

Went to Chiap Lee after that and seems the Clover suit is better priced! but the hump behind smaller. any comments?

Da hump is for aerodynamics purpose, similiar concept to those helmets used for olympics speed cycling.

It also protects the neck during collisions.

thanks

Erm... guys, how about the Alpinestars GPU 1 piece...?? Any comments or reviews about this...??

I find that there are very few brands/models available in SGP, compared to the UK or US...

:giddy:

How about kangaroo leather...?? Any suit with this type of leather to recommend...?? I heard they are lighter & more resistant to tear...

Main reason is that the Singapore market is too small . Not alot of people buy leather suits here .

for normal day riding i think u are talking abt a jacket? can go for armour jacket for better protection. though can be abit hot and u look like american football player! they are available at the places mentioned by throttle above. depending on the brand can cost between $200 to $600?

motoworld in kakit bukit is having some cheap range of good riding mesh jacket costing less than $200.

maybe kewei might like to go there have a look..

alternative u can head down to motoX as there is a range of HELD brand riding jacket. =)

For those whose interested in Arlen Ness 04 collection... I've emailed the guy.

This is his reply :

Cowhide leathers are ard US$720.

Kangeroo leathers are ard US$940.

(1 piece leathers)

The prices above are not inclusive of freight charges. If anyone is interested to order from them, it's better to get a few to order together to offset the freight charges.
