hi bro, saw your bike today near Sim Lim Towers... went to check out your bike after u parked with my girlfriend.... really impressive work esp with the rims and all the carbon fiber stickers....

 

you want to use HID for headlight? my friend and a mechanic recently told me it melts the SP head fairing, so be careful... also cannot pass inspection too...

 

I think your friend and mechanic mistaken white halogen lightbulb for HID. HID operates cooler than normal, white color lightbulbs. Don't listen he say they say because I'm using cheapest type of HID digital slim ballast and its obviously much cooler to touch than even stock bulb.

i think your previous headlight the voltage it draw is too high? thats why it melts your wires.

 

maybe you can consider getting lower voltage lamps.

This is the T10 connector bought at sim lim tower.. the other is the one which melted my headlight >.

After that shoulder it on the Neg (-) .As for the (+) SP headlight have 2 metal on the below..take one 1 and connect to the connector (+) -- didnt take pic as kinda small to see..

After complete..I use 13 LED 1.5watt bulb to insert it..I got the one which is white in colour..

All DIY by myself hee hee... enjoy!!

 

Price :

Connector - $3 per piece x 2 = $6

LED bulb - $20 for a pair = $20

H6M bulb - $10 for a pair = $10 (Cnt really remember as bought some times ago)

Shouldering etc - Free + some wiring and black tape = $5 (Round off ba)

 

Total damages = $50 and below and of course some times to DIY it

When u wan spray u let mi knw.. I go help u find out the price per can for Matt black.. Tt time I think I saw the laquard for Matt black de(not those shinning) but u need to prepare cnt ride ur bike for full 2 3 days.. Spraying is not hard.. Sanding is! If u got Frd help u sand is the best... The day b4 u wan spray, dismantle everything bring home those parts.. Cover n lock it so nobody will knw ur bike is empty hee hee.. Den at home sand like nobody business..next day hope it's hot n sunny.. Can start spraying liao..let it dry for 1 day.. Den put back.. Done.. Spraying need little paitent n skill..

hi bro, nice bike and a very nice job done. previously i also did a diy respray to my sp as seen on my display pic. i would say it is not an easy task as, the very first step of taking of the fairings is really not easy (fixing the fairings back is the hardest part).

 

like what u have mention, diy paintjob needs to wash and polish regularly. mine nv take care properly end up the paint turn yellowish.

 

anyway, just a suggestion to you since u have some gold paint left. u can paint ur skeleton of ur bke to gold too. i think i will look sweet! just a suggestion only.

How about the oil tank ? remove that as well? that one chim sia -.-

 

oil tank is the easiest to remove. remove the main screw just under the rider seat. den unplug the fuel hose and the electric cable (for fuel guage i think) and its its done.

bro, i check the price for de 3m cf sticker at iss mart le, it's $55 dollar per meter. so ex sia. lolx. but bro can ask how u know the measurement to cut out if u going to stick onto the tank lid? nd to use ruler measure the diameter n draw onto the back of the cf sticker den use scissor to cut it out? den wad abt those hole for screw? how to cut out? thanks.

Tank lid ah?? Lol till now I hven do oso.. Maybe will try doing ba in my mind for sometimes liao.. Cf sticker is like tt one u buy must use all.. my last project I still left 1/2 m which mean $20++ sticker still lying on my hse hahaha

hmm but bro, how u mark out de dimensions if u wanna do it on sth else? for eg fairing, since u done before fairing, cud ask u how u noe roughly how much to cut out for de fairing on de cf sticker? nd to take ani measurement beforehand? thanks.
