Hi all, jus contacted roger on the DIY session for doin grounding for our g4. Roger says he nida check out wif his fren as to the exact cost of materials and procedure, etc. Those interested, pls feel in your name, contact and preferred date below. Details as follows:

 

Date: Next sat(170705) or sun(180705)

Time to meet: TBC(depends on roger's availability)

Venue: MSCP opp LAB

I juz bought my GSXR400(i think is p model) a week ago bt i notice tat the fuel intake like too much le...full tank can only go till 240KM.....is it normal?? can some1 give mi sum help?? THKS.....

LumRacerX, any motorbike shop will provide carb servicing and it would cost ard 60 to 80++ more if any replacement of wear and tear components. however exceptional cheap at GH which cost 35 to 45..why cheaper? I'm not very sure. It's better if u go to reputable shops, like gh, planet, pan auto svc, etc...if u read from previous post, most of the g4 riding here go guan hoe or planet.

 

As for speedo, maybe the cable koyak liao, engine oil, any semi syn EO will do. I going for EO change next week, gonig for motul 5100v(Anyone wanna share the 4th bottle with me? $12/- each), unless u willing to spend more dough to get fully syn oil like Motul, Maxima, Repsol or Mobil gold. And lastly, spark plugs recommeneded would be ngk cre8k like what i am using now. Ah boy selling 7 each. or denso ut4er.. forgot the model liao. those plugs with 2 heads 1.

wah u mean b4 reserve 240 or after reserve 240 ? Shop recommended is planet K&T or combine motor OR JB darkvader's motordiam ( good at trouble shooting, Carb balancer use da same as planet ,washing n tuning cost RM90 ) . Sparkplugs to use is CR8EK ( can buy from azman ) or Denso U24ETR $5 beside FJT ( i prefer it.Seems better than NGK ).

 

 

AH King: hey hows da ground wiring effect !? I went there but i got no time coz gotta work.So nv fix. When u wan go JB to remove da header's stuff ?

About forks n brake caliper think should ask darkvader. But i think he noe how to do la.. even cheaper n maybe better. He's last time a mech from yishun industrial area.

Erm i mean after reserve....How much can a GSXR go full tank after reserve?? i straight away went to GH for full service after i bought my bike....what is the problem.....V.trouble.....Can help mi??

:thumb: try go planet..they charge u price of 3bottle even u use 3 1/2L.

 

takuhira:average for tis baby is around 240-270before hit reserve*(20-30).n depend howu ride.

 

solid pig i suggest u breed ur caliper n fork in sg..coz it'll took damn long to fix.mayb 1/2day*...

 

LumRacerX:bout speedo..try remove the speedo cable link below ur front tyre...use ur finger to roll the cable inside as fast as possible n check ur speedo izit workin...if it movin means ur speedo gear spoit.if nt wkin means u needa buy a new cable.

yesterday, my bike fell on the right side and today, i found that there is a oil spillage today and when i ride to 2nd link, my right shoe was soaked in this thick oil which i presume is engine oil or 4t because its thicker that petrol.

 

the whole of the right side including my right side of the tire is soaked in this oil. also, is the clutch cover or engine cover, whatever you call it is perfertly round or its flatten at the bottom, i never really pay attention to it and it is flatten, i am worried that its dented due to the fall. wanted to ride to shop tomorrow but scared later the oil drip finish then piston jam or what.

 

damn, just got it a week ago then this happened. this is what i suspect, can correct me if i'm wrong, the fall somehow broke my gasket and the fall is quite heavy cause my brake lever snapped off also but i replaced already. or another cause might be the cover is dented the cracked thus oil spilled from there

Well......is ur brake lever original or the chiong kind? cos for the chiong kind, a simple fall will break it....but original ones will oni be bent....if the fall is hard enuff to break the original lever then its quite a bad fall.....

 

Wad kind of fall did your bike sustain? anyway if you tink your bike is still rideable and you wan to ride it, a simple way is to pour in more engine oil n ride down to the nearest bike shop you trust. Else best to call a tow truck.
