Most of the GSXrr on rd now still using the orgin spark plug wires when the first day the bike came on rd.

 

Rubber protecting the copper wires inside will start to harden and start to crack.

 

So when water touch or came in contact with the spark plug wires, its will miss fire to your body frame or engine body, which i do see it myself on my ex gsxrr.

 

After the engine warm up and water been evaporated, everything go back normal liao....

Bro, Its not a major prob to have difficulties starting the bike after rain.. When its raining, sometimes heavy rain, water seeps in every where.. Problem comes when the water seeps below the tank and into the spark plug.. The spark plug is no fully soaked of cos, but there's moisture.. Wat u can do is change the spark plug which cost abt $40 i heard if u get NGK Racing spark plugs at Planet.. Another cheaper alternative is to use a Bike cover abt $17 at ah boy. haha..

Bros, Tuning is very inportant, after tuning, it

1. Eliminates funny Eningine noise (suppose to get low Rumble)

2. Improves Fuel Efficiecy

3. Saves money

4. Gives a better ride and less chance of u standing by the side of the highway...

No lah.. Basic full servicing is ,

 

change EO =3x$14 for fuchs fully syn 15w40 ( private dealer )

Oil filter = $15 ( at motordiam )

 

Sparkplugs 4 x CR8EK $7 or 4 x U24ETR $5 ( LAB or FJT )

 

washing carb/tuning/syn Got $35/60/80 which wan u wan? ( GH / planet / K&T & combine motor )

 

If u wan change EO , plugs , change coolant , we can do together.

Tuning i would wanna give K&T a try again.

i use to have alot of this problem with my Ex-GIXXER...

try not to clutch in(free wheeling) if u dun need to...

use more of ur engine brake....

clutch in only when u need to stop,

as for droping gear, make it a quick one...

 

 

wat u have been doing previously is actually jump start.

 

when engine die off while clutch in,

realeasing of clutch again while bike is on the move

will definately start up the engine again.

Caution: if u are doing tat while on low gear,

rear tire will tense to give way(fish tail)...

i dun think u will like the feel when u are riding on normal singapore road using a $40 dollars NGK racing plug. Racing plug are not normally recommened cos they might not be accurate at low rev and might mis fire but is very good at high rev cos its build for racing and with lots of dragging. But if ya bike is not for track... try not to go for a racing plug. A iridium plug is more then enough.

EEE domain is at S1 and S2..haha..all my lessons at south...sometimes go north for lunch only :smile:
