Read on a UK bike forum that a G4 rider actually replaced his stock rear suspension with a stock K7 rear suspension. Anyone happen to know how much a stock K7 rear suspension might cost?

 

Also, anyone interested in wrapping their forks? Know a shop who can custom make wraps (Velcro Type) to cover any exposed parts not only the forks. Let me know if ure interested. not sure if ure crazy like me la, must make sure everything on the bike is black or carbon covered.

Haiya i really took Extremely Long 2 juz 2do tiz sia

I seriously tink my Darling G4 has reached close 2 its LifeSpan liao. So far over the yearz it has been doin Damn Excellent except for when i juz gt it. Did a Major OverHaul & touchup here & there, other than tat there have been no Probz for Me at all. But recently it has been lying in WerkShop for quite a while oredi [some of U shld noe hw long is tat] :cry: At 1st My Mech tout maybe it was the CDI, so he gt a 2ndHand one 2 Test = Nope tat was nt it. Then he did a Major Check & ask other Mech as well for their Opinion. So nw the prob actualli lies wif the Carbs. Of course since i my Darling i told him 2 juz do anyting as long as My Darling can b Up & Running asap, but guess wat? He told Me nw itz the Carbs, since LifeSpan reaching 2 an End liao, in another mnth & mnths 2 come i'll b facing more things coming 2 End like my CDi [High Possibility], Coil, Starter Motor & etc

So nw the Bonus Q of the Nite for U'll. HELP Me tink of a Perfect Solution

Should i juz Spend the $$$ & do up back the whole Bike & get back the Love of My Life Up & Running again [taking into consideration my COE ending Oct 2010] or should i juz Scrap My Darling which have served Me well over the yearz. Coz its will b a better choice 2 Spend the $$$ on getting my K8 ready for Track. Haiya can go Seow ah tinking abt tiz Prob. My Skull Cracking liao soon enuff

i love my r1 but to spend the amount of money to rebuild my whole engine for a seven years old bike....sumtimes when u factor in alot of things...it's hard to let go due to the gd times but u have to balance between rational and passionate. the choice is yours bro.

 

i loved my r1...it brought me even to thailand...splendid memories...but like aron mentioned...nothing last forever.

hmm...if its ur carb problem...i have lobang for getting a spare carb..u want it? the carb got no powercut as mentioned by the seller...anyway..add mi to the G4 head count man(if it still exist) =D
