hi i just got my 2b license. wondering if you all think its weird to wear a full face helmet with leather protective jacket on a phantom? because, i happen to have a brand new shoei helmet and dainese jacket from my bro. do you guys think its overkill? like, too racy? i'm 1.85 so can only ride phantom.

 

seen such phantom rider... i will usually give one or more glance for such rarity, but at the end of the day its still you.

so u can ignore strange glances.

The fact is you gt more protection.

 

1.85m can ride scrambler mah or varadero 125. not limited to cruisers.

yes.. i am wearing FF helmet and racing gloves ;-)

even if u dun wana get a ff or flip up at least get good quality approved half face helms... coz my colleagues have seen helmets break n brains comin out, or slow motion fall but helmet jus break

i know it costs a fair amount of $ to get all these riding gears

but I'm very happy to see more and more people getting full face / flip ups and jackets etc etc etc

 

so am very happy to help point out where to get good deals or if any one has questions - i'm no expertm but willing to help & learn along the way too

aiai and shoei is high end helmets.. If im not wrong. HJc is almost the same range as OGK and rjays.

ya, I'm reading on Nolan & Arai and it seems like they give 5 years of warranty where as HJC only 1 year. Does it means the HJC dun trust their products too? HJC dun have much write up on the testing procedures leh.

some one mentioned..

if the same helmet design genre passes the psb test..

whether they are a $30 OR $300 HELMET..they are equally good..as far as psb is concerned

arai and shoei are great helmets, no doubt about it, but you are also paying alot for the branding... HJC has a large market share in the states, another great helmet for a lower price. i myself using HJC helmet. if you got money to burn, go ahead and invest in arai or shoei, IMO, HJC does the job as good if not better than these 2 brands... now motoworld got good deal, trade in any used helmet to get $50 off a price of a brand new HJC helmet (selected few models only)

 

choice of helmet also differ from person to person, all the shapes of our heads are different, like someone i know, someone's gay buddy only can wear or gui kia... LOL!
