Electrical problem

when i use key to turn on, my neutral light will be on. but when i electic start, the neutral light dies, i also hear a slight 'piak' from under the seat. then i turn key to off n on again, neutral light didn't on. i electic start also no response. what could be the problem?

 

this problem occurs intermitternt, morning i had this problem, but now is ok.

Sounds like a short circuit. Did any of your fuses blow?

your ground cable might loose.

no fuse blow. now can start like normal. it's intermitterent problem.

intermittent means something is changing states now and then. so you need to check your connectors, make sure they are all secure and not touching any part of your frame, or any other wire. then check your wires. when wires are bent around frames and other parts of the bike, the wire is stressed and can tear, causing intermittent disconnections. so check each wire. then check your switches. go step by step to eliminate each system until you find the culprit. check your wiring diagram to see which systems are related to the starter and you'll know where to check. you'll need an electric gauge as well to do this.

Could be weak battery. Time to replace.

battery weak, starter motor tried to turn, but can only only establish contact, but cannot produce torque.

if batt weak wont it be like starter turn a few rounds then fade, n the lights slowly fade away? my sympton is like the power suddenly cut off. this morning didn't happen, weird.

Like what others have said, check all connectors and connections first. Check your handlebar switches also especially the "Stop" switch side.

Bro. Happened to my YBR. Exactly. My RPM was kuku, my headlights cannot turn on, my neutral light dying, on off on off. I go change battery and it solved everything.

double check ur connection to the batt ensure it is tighten. if not ur starter carbon needs to change. btw wad bike are u riding?

have changed the batt, so far the symptom not yet come back...

 

@crazydj, i did encounter my rpm kuku when i press the brake. dont know what happen, cable short? i plug out all the cable n plug back in is fine. i've checked all the cables, no cross or break, so i dont know what happen also.

not sure if its battery..cos batt only laz for 3 days b4 bike wont start.. maybe starter..not sure leh..

i think my problem is battery, changed and the sympton never come back.

 

if starter spoilt, u press elec start, the starter wont even move. yes, my starter got burnt once.

Anyone knows any shop that do re-wiring of whole bike circuits? Coz i'm finding one to do mine. Sometimes press brake my headlight, speedo-rpm-fuelgauge lights all fade. sometimes when press brake to hard while stationary also bike will die off. my headlight also not that bright after i change bulbs at JB. maybe they like ccb didnt fix properly. i also not that sure. checked my battery's condition, still good. 12+V. Anyone could help??

go to planet motors...

check that cluster of wiring...leakages i suppose.the brake circuit will be the most likely source of the problem....could just be a simple case of loose wires at terminations touching the bike chasis/frame.

one of the tricks is to use a mega to jap the circuit..if there are cracks/damage insulation it will show up as a burnt spot....shoud isolate all electronics circuit as this high voltage will damage it.

how abt checking the voltage of the batt while idling wif brake lever being depress?? wat is the voltage?

check for a short circuit in your brake lighting.
