Insurance Issue

Hi all.. A little confuse about the insurance for cars.. Is it the same as bike, as in rider and sub-rider also must buy insurance.. Or is it just buy a insurance for the car and anybody also can drive.. Please advise.. Thanx..

That means i just need to buy one insurance for the car only, then anyone also can drive already right? Not like bike, one sub-rider one insurance..

If you have a sub rider, or you are the sub rider whatsoever, the insurance companies will just take the higher premium of the 2.

This is for bike and not car insurance right?

Last I check, anybody can drive your car.

 

However, if the driver gets into an accident and that his/her name is not included in the insurance policy, you might not be able to claim...

 

Best is to give the insurance company a call and ask them.

LEt me explain. Standard !st party comprehensive insurance for car should cover any driver as mentioned earlier. so as long as the driver is an authorised driver , then the policy is intact.

 

However, the excess for the main driver and the other drivers would be different.

 

Example: My insurance cost is very low due to my records, experience and age and job and other statistics. If I claim on a policy, I dont have to pay any excess. if the repair cost $5000, the insurance will cover in full.

 

But lets say i let my cousin drive and the policy is claimed on when he is the driver, then there will be an excess of $800 or more. If the repairs cost $5000, then the insurance company will only cover whatever is above the excess. If the excess is $800 and repairs cost $800, then the insurance company pays nothing. Cost will have to be covered by the insured, himself.

I heard ppl say can claim one windscreen a year if borken or damage.. True?? Will premium go up after claim??

Yes, premium wont go up for windscreen claim. Just have to pay $50. but i dont know what is the no. of times before it will cause the premium to increase.
