chain wax will not fling so much.. u hav to warm up the chain before spraying on it.. the temp on the chain will allow the wax will flow to the o-ring/x-rings seal. if the chain is cool, the wax will not flow well..

while chain guard is more of liquid form..

wats the advisable chain slack ? and how to define chain slack ?

i notice my chain get longer and longer very easy :( , every two week need to go bike shop and adjust :(, I just change a new Chain & spoket.. think going to change again after 6mths :(.....

how often u lub yr chain??

riding habits oso play a very important factor in the rate of chain wear..

wat chain u use?? wat bike u ride??

I lube every three day when i wash my bike , I riding NSR150SP... riding habits? hmmm u mean by Whacking the engines cause the chain to wear??? :( ...

base on manual for diff bike..

for sport bike or road bike is abt 3cm slack..

the chain slack is to hav some allowance for the sudden tension experience by the chain due to the movement of the swing arm.. if yr bike went thru uneven road, yr rear sus will react and the swing arm will rotate abt at a pivot.. as the front spocket is not at the same point as the pivot, the distance between the front spocket and the rear will change..

that y for off road bikes, they hav a chain clack tensioner(forget the correct term :sweat: ) where they experience even more swing arm movement and cannot have the chain being too slack..

sudden pick up will induce more higher rate of wear and tear..

since u riding nsr150, do u change the hub to race race hub where u can use smaller spocket like the KRR model and use smaller chain??

these mod stuff dun last long.. very soon hav to change the whole set..

do u lub the chain correctly?? spray on the roller of the chain from the outside does little gd to the chain..

wat chain type u use??

oh i'm using 502 hub if i'm not wrong the bigger one & for chain i use (RK GB520XSO RX-Ring GOLD)... And u mean Spray the chain from outside will be better :)....

i dun noe wat is 502 hub..

in my times, we call it stock hub which shape like a star or the race hub which shape like a cone..

but based on the chain type, u are using the standard size..

wat i mean is that is no use spraying the chain lub at the roller of the chain of the outside.. i found that this is wat ppl commonly do when i saw outside.

hav to spray inner by placing the spray can between the swing arm and chain..

u search around this thread for the demo pics..

u must spray on the x-ring seal rather then the roller..

chain slack oso hava factor.. if u dun allow reasonable chain slack, the chain will wear fast too..

today just check with my Mech... He say one of my chain "O-Ring" is out!!! so fast Omg I just change 2mths lei :(...

this fault can be cause by foreign object being stuck at the chain and spoil the seal..

remember to lub the chain if u ride yr bike at rainy days..

thanks Alex... So can i still use my chain??? cause they keep telling me to change , cause Might snap anytime , They also say the chain i use is from taiwan that's why so easy to spoil.... But i think Is ok to use on lei :(... cause 2mths only lei, plus Still can Tighter de....

every bike that driven by chain hav a guage that tells us how far hav the chain being tighten.. if the chain is being tighten for the extreme end, is better to change it.. since the seal is spoil, that link now act as normal chain, the chain hav to lub often in order to lub the pins..

as for the chain being snap, i cannot confirm say will snap or will not snap..

i hav friends that on budget so they remove one link but the chain did not snap..

there are a few mode of how the chain snap..

can cause 1) wheel lock

2) engine cease or

3) the chain juz simply fall off and nothing happen..

hey bros just got my bike a few days ago so kinda noob. i was planning on getting maxima chain lube.. but where to get? can get at petrol station? also, how often must i lube the chain? i think my chain is O ring.. suitable right?

every 2 weeks or after riding under rain, then lube the chain..

maxima products can be found at mustafa centre, motoworld and a few bike shops.. i nv find the products at any petrol station b4..
