Lube your chain

i scared ma.. diesel although gives an oily feel but actually removes oil also.. so i was afraid that if i left my diesel there and spray chain lube that would counter the effect??

diesel do remove the stubborn stain and grease..

but it juz leave a very weak layer of oil.. will gone after clean wif running water..

so is ok to lube the chain after washing it wif water..

remember to warm the chain b4 lubing..

how to know if chain is x or o ring ar? that time i change they tell me is x & o ring or something -_-

 

see the model number and the brand that shown at the plate of the chain..

do a search on the net..

i've heard from this forum to warm chain before lubing. but i was scared of the extra friction created when without lube..

 

so i sprayed on a quick thin layer before riding a few rounds around my carpark to dry and warm chain up, before spraying another layer.

Riding around the carpark dun warm the chain. U try touch the the chain before warming and after around the carpark. Juz heart pain a bit and warm the chain.

when yr chain was tighten to the maximum..

and the spocket teeth are sharp..

wave power is low, so the chain should last longer provided u take care of the chain..

they mention that the additive in the diesel we bought from petrol kiosk may spoil the rubber seal.. but i hav being using for 2 years..

i wash it every 2 months.. the chain still going strong..

maybe u can try using kerosene as DID chain manual recommended using that to use their chain products.. maybe u use that will feel safer..

reviews are that i does not fling, its the top range of chain lube so expect to pay premium price. Alternatively, can go search and read review of Penray Lube also.

i've been using maxima chain wax for quite a while... haven't come across the need to clean the rim of oil stain since...

if mix the maxima chain wax with the bike shops engine oil will it be bad? cos i lubed with maxima and when i went for servicing the mech helps me lub with engine oil.. also, roughly how long can maximas engine wax last before lubbing again?

but maxima chain wax leaves the chain very dry after lubing which is something i detest. The feeling of touching a dry and sticky chain is very disgusting

I rather the lube flings onto my rim and dirty it than my chain and sprokets spoiling due to a lack of lubrication.

i think its engine oil ah.. not sure also what he use.. but mainly im wondering whether its good to mix the 2..
