The misfire tingy i nt very sure.. but ur meter is cfm a "switch" spoil le.. last time mine also lidat.. then the interval of my meter going sot becomes more n more untill the speed goes 0km/hr.. haha.. that one can change.. less than 100bucks.. ;)

check on the side of the front sprocket got one tdk wire.........usually wen the speedo go haywire its the tdk fault bcos pgm speedo dun run by norm speedo cable rather by the tdk wiring unit which attachs directly to sprocket....wat i do is loosen the plastic housing, clean a bit, then fix back & screw the housing tight........if still haywire....change the unit

ok, for your issue regarding the speedo meter..i got experience before.. one of my electrician cable gonna broken which is link to the battery for my case..maybe urs is other connection, so this takes awhile to rectify... so i strip the cable and link up the bare copper wire and cover with tape, after that my speedo meter is ok.

most of us are in the midst of fixing up the bike, for gears i bleaf most of us dun have....its nt a matter of the spirit but a matter of the planning interval....like for me as an example, i need to do up the engine becos wear n tear issues, and i dun have the gear right now etc Right at this moment i hope to create a bondage wif the rest of them 1st, then we most likely will come up wif the stuff we required & will probably be going sometime hopefully ard AUG? this will depends on all, minimum oso must have at least 4 to 6...hope u dun think of tis as a delaying tactic.....or a excuse....but im knw lotsa riders now on hand has wear n tear issues too....fail to plan, plan to fail......
