Hi PGMers, can u guys imagine an old man (security guard) saw my PGM, can't resist the temptation to mount it, try the sitting posture, and when dismount drop my bike. Lucky he hold it abit and thus soft landing for the bike.

 

And Maverick after u do up ur bike dun mind update us, me likely to do up also cos going to keep it as weekend bike for another 10 yrs. (as long as I dun feel bore with it).

Really feel sorry for your plight, kato74. Tat's why I always cover my bike, even in MSCP, to avoid such things. Remembered once when I parked my PGM4 in MSCP without cover, and guess what, I found striped black rubber shoe mark on my tailboard later! Somebody had apparently sat on it and dismounted inappropriately!

 

Will update u guys on the things done and price for my servicing in due course. And in the meantime, I still welcome any servicing advice and workshop recommendation from any kind souls here.

Maverick, so far I read in the forum for bikeshop tat's is good in 250 r Eddy Ong shop in Amk, Racewek and Pang's scooter. And 1 Mr. Black?? who work at nite. Hope tat my info r correct and any brudders care to update on it.

Attention all riders. A word of caution. Should you go into JB by 1st link that is through Woodlands checkpoint, please ride carefully and slowly once you passed the JB customs. It seems that there are a LOT of potholes and gravel once you exit the customs especially at the U-turn and into Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Even the roads after the flyover towards JB customs heading to Singapore suffer the same problem. The roads must have been made of low quality products that after many days of rain, the ground just softened and break under pressure from all the vehicles. Luckily I noticed the problem, if not sure buang. Just ride slow and steady guys...

2005 AP cup

 

Manage to buy the cover at FJT with reasonable price .brand new... left meter only pls PM me or call my mobile 90298992 (prefer sms) coz @ times my phone never rings.

 

Need t fix the bike before 12 Feb coz i want to renew and ride it on the road ...this bike of mine has been on circuit race since 98 bought it on 96....dont mention how many times cylinder seizure cause me a big hole on my wallet ., crankshaft too .... but love it so much . new front forks will be fixing up soon .....

 

Love to meet some of u guys in the forum. at times did saw some pgm on d road when driving really envy the old good times on the road but i'm a bit scared on the road since my fall on 1999 on my RGV250M ... but @ times do ride my Super4

 

i am selling my race fairings and seat, selling it cheap coz gonna change fairing and seat from tyga......might use it to race once a while for this year AP cup.

 

Mine no more dry clutch change to wet clutch becoz of the AP cup 2005 reg....only wet clutch model are allow to race........

i can't remember was me or not but i seldom go to track unless there is a need t go but last week i when there to help to bring back my frens gsxr400 back to SG from the pits.

 

Anyway did some few laps on 400 my first time ridin a 4 stroke 400 on a circuit ..... its awesome damn fast on d straight n with d full float disc wow really cool can brakes on d turns too if too fast ....... easy to ride not like my nsr250 ----- easy to manouver but always need to keep it the power band very demanding if not like snail

ya very true....we better keep our rpm running at ard 9-10000 if not once out of corner there will be not much power to pull the bike thru to the next corner... my braking is still the stock one...sometime if i will to do hard braking my brake seems to fail me especially when u do ur 8 - 9 lap the stock brake and suspension has already fail u...anyway my bike is red n white in colour...

so far my front is brake hose using steel n rear stock . Pads i concern always try to use a better grade any brand will do gold fren vector as long it is good grade. Suspension not much a problem for nsr coz it does not weigh dat heavy also the HP unllke the 600cc.

 

The main thing is the jets , plugs , temp dat i always conecentrate n the rpm during the race ... but some fast guys do ride the nsr like rocket ...shld c during the 96 -99 era of asia rd race on 250 like bullet man....

 

hope i can get my bike with new upgrade of bodywork , front forks by this year and also new paint work ..... unlikely to race it maybe once a year or so ......maybe 1 or 2 or trackdays willl do, i just want to keep it nice and pretty --- it will be a gift from me 2 my daughter when she grows up den .....

juz wanna ask roughly how much it cost to do a full overhaul piston/rings conrod and all tranmisson bearings for a pgm? and also blocks cost how much??
