Motorola, its you ah? remember tat time is did asked you abt yr PGM4 but u sold last month? really thought tat you'll reply me through my HP.. hahah.. mistake... hmm.. you got tat shop number? btw, how much are they selling? any idea? condition?

actually Mak motor also have but they selling @ 6k COE till april '07, veri expensive... ask to lower down, ut replied u wan u take.. lan lan.... btw, heard they say PGM4 drink ALOT of 2T.. is it really that much? PGM4 good to maintain anot honestly... thanks for the reply..

hmm.. honda bikes r rather lasting actually.. the lee motor bike has been there for quite some time bro.. actually the 2t consumption is not high la.. 1 bottle for ard 1000km.. sounds reasonable? might varies due to different riding style.. but unless u ride it hard.. if not the its abt there i guess..

hmm..

 

if ur worried abt fuel consumption, 2t consumption, n repair cost (if its down).. i suggest u get a 400 instead bro.. 250 will definately have more wear n tear as compare to 400.. consumption is ard the same.. u save 2 plugs n 3 bottles of engine oil actually.. but it takes 2t.. 250 carbs will get dirty faster due to 2t intake.. so u might need to wash it every few months.. i have a friend who does it every fortnight..

 

clearly knows wat u wan.. u cant hav the best of both worlds.. its either u wan a transport or a fun/weekend bike..

thanks bro... i went to chai fatt this afternoon.. the mechanic also told me tat this bike ok, if u use for racing then different story liao... $6200 for FN plate machine price with 10 years COE ok anot?

Actually now around how many rider riding PGM4, OTR like dun get to see them @ all leh.... this thread like not may ppl visit or talk izzt? not very active one ah? DESMOSEDICI, currently u still riding a PGM4 ? hows the performance? after 6 years then i gettng my Class 2A.. hahaha..

hmm... not much ppl riding this bike.. many 'hear-say' bad things abt this bike so ppl all scared to ride.. i think in sg.. the most hav onli 40 pgm4.. performance ar.. very torquey.. every rev u feel the drag.. at traffic green light u normal pickup onli u c ur mirror the cars behind are quite far liao.. :D

actually, imo i kinda feel that 2strokers need much more care than the 4stroke bikes. wear and tear is NOT the same. i think you'll save much more on a 4stroke bike. it has a higher top speed (stock) than the 250s anyway. and you cant rev the 250 that high for so long i think, can la, but be prepared to pay lor..

 

but of course, it boils down to what you want. if you really like the pgm so much, then by all means get it. fast? which one faster? you got money? u dump alot of money into which one, that one will be faster :lol:

 

i got the pgm after a few years of thinking :lol:, i should have gotten it earlier, its sooo fun! but of course, i like the feeling of a 2stroker! slow i dont care, song can already! have you tried any of the 250s yet zhihong? or the 400s (obviously not in sg)?

400cc bike onli super 4, GSX400 & KTM400 tats all, i used to play car but now sian already, feel tat bike more fun.. never ride a PGM4 before... wanna test drive the bike but cannot start as its not prepare yet.. haiz...

pai seh, i didn't make it very clear, wad i meant was definately super-4 will b more economical but if pgm maintanance is slightly higher nia, then i prefer pgm as i like sport bikes :sweat:

i suggest if you really want to ride one, you get a transport bike just in case. im not saying its very expensive or whatever, but i kinda feel if something goes wrong (which the 250s have a higher chance), u'll really pay much more than for a usually-reliable s4.

 

of course, i kinda feel you should get what you WANT, instead of getting something you dont really like, and not be happy with it.
