Why not just leave to expert to do it and let them know ur requirement,

First of all u need a confine space and air compressor to carry out spraying works, unless use spray can.

easy,

sand and spray.

best use proper spray paint and tools.

one litre of paint can get less than rm100,

where one liter can spray a van and still have some left.

Quality won't be as good as the professionals. Why bother wasting time and energy spraying it yourself unless you have alot of free time.

Hundreds of shops here can spray what you have suggested.

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

a lot of shop spray not nice, dats y.

the colours not lively, the design doesn't manifest well on the bike, ect.

why u want to look down on anyone else that is not a shop?

maybe the ts is an artist or designer, who can do ten times better job than shops.

I'm not looking down but look at the questions that are being asked. The artist will be able to design and draw better, yes, but the clear coat on top of that is the most important. If they can get the right recipe for the clear then excellent.

ok. easy also.

just mix the right amount of clear lacquer with hardener.

use high quality proper automotive lacquer.

better to hang up the things u want to spray to avoid dust sticking and even sweat to drops.. be extra careful.. hehe

anyway i'm NOT talking about rattle can spray here.

where can i get automotive paint, laquer?

thanks.

It's just not about sanding and spraying or what paint you use. If you don't have a wind free envoronmental area or electrical point..forget about automotive paint. They are just the same as house hold paint..its how you know to mixed them with thinner and dilute enough to go thru that nozzle. A paint spray gun is not a toy and your compressor need electrical power. Last but not least..you have to know what "baking" paint is about.

Yea. Diy Spray job really require u to put in 1234146232345137% effort in it.

imagine all the sanding, spraying of bike under the sun ( to have the paint looks bright ) fine sanding again and spray again. the sanding part of removing the original paint and its under coat (else the paint u spray wun stick and will crack under sun) will already kill most. Unless u are really equiped some auto sanding machine, else i suggest go get professionals.

"baking" paint can use hair-dryer to go over it? I did that for my fairing, seems ok leh. But very slow and tedious process. haiz. Next spray job, i decided to use professional liao. No space to put all the parts around.

I've seen some bikes with the nice matt black finish.

How does the paint stay without the lacquer coat?

Matt black will always run the risk of discoloration.. yes/no?

i think there should be matt lacquer available?

no need wind free no need baking.

just a non dusty place.

even many "professionials" (i.e bike shops) dun use. hehe.

electrical point not much problem.

only problem if want to do in residential area is the loud sound of compressor. :cheer

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
