Balaclava or Buff?

Hi guys,

 

Need some advice.

I am considering getting a headwear like a balaclava or one of those Orignal Buffs. No beanie for me though.

Which one is better, considering that the main concern to me is comfort,breathability and the ability to absord sweat so that I dont need to wash my helmet liners every 2 weeks.

 

Where can I get the Buffs, Balaclava or any alternatives? Kindly advise the approximate price also.

I am presently using 100% cotton balaclava, i find it more comfy than the coolmax. u can buy from motoworld for $10. I never tried the buff cos too lazy to tie. balaclava easy to slip on and off.

i just got my balaclava from motoworld at lavender. they carry some buff gear as well. i got the balaclava because the buff they have did not suit me (the patterns i mean). all in all, i think the buff will be a lot more comfortable as there are no seems. the oxford coolmax balaclava i got has a seem that runs all the way from front to back. need to get used to it to feel comfortable.

in cold climates, a balaclava will keep you warmer. in warm climates, a balaclava will wick sweat and help keep your helmet from stinking up too quickly. also makes it much easier to put on and take off the helmet.

Currently using a buff... Easy fold into a bala kind of config.. So far so good...

Just got the Oxford Balaclava. Will try out these few days and see.

The Buff, i tink retails at around $30.

ya i think i saw at mustafa something similar. but i tot that is a Balaclava. So wat exactly is a Balaclava? hmmmm And yes mustafa also retail ard $30 for buff.

motoworld sells buff as well...for around 28 bucks...good deal if you find a design you like.

yesh i have already linked up with buff directly, discount will be determined by how many pieces we can gather... expect about 10-15% off retail. and the best part is u can choose the design from the website. not like from shop watever the designs they bring in... we only have those choices...

in addition to keeping helmet fresh ...

 

for touring around our part of the world, bala & buff helps to prevent sun burn on back of neck .. learn that the hard way on trip to Chiang Mai ..

 

it also help protect neck from UFO .. ie: little stones that comes flying, heng heng kanna the throat type...

1 most important thing, instead of washing the cushions of ur helmet... u jus need to wash a piece of cloth... and its so durable...
