I owned an 05FZ6 for 1 1/2 years, had the TPS problem and got it fixed. Riding a VFR now and very happy with it.

But even now, I still sometimes miss my FZ6. It's doesn't have a very comfortable seat, so-so suspension and brakes, and questionable mid-range... but every bike has its idiosyncracies. For what I used it for, it was great. Good balance, good visibility, comfortable posture, easy to manoevre and turn, and very very decent looks. To me, IMHO, it is a good bike la... hahaha

just done mine 50,000km servicing at southern motor. change ;

tire front and rear BT-014 = 330

O-ring Chain = 115

Timing Chain ,Tensioner ,gaskets & coolant + labour = 255

the throttle is much more smoother and responsive. No more clicking sound from the engine whenever i open the throttle. before changing mileage is 270km before reserve. Best total mileage till empty tank is 320km. i will now keep track the new reading after servicing. it should be a better mileage i guess. :cheeky:

Riding the FZ6 09 S2, it's a reliable roadie. Cruising through the Isle like peanuts. Insurance and road tax is cheap too. Anyone knows whether I could get some scraps for this or previous models. Thanks!

Fz6 is good and cheap for riding around sg. Gets around 20km/l. And the big fuel tank can get around 300km per refuel. You will need to rev up past 6 k rpm to accelerate fast though.

Fz8 has more torque and power but poorer fuel consumption around 18 km/l and smaller tank around 250km per refuel. Sitting position is slightly more lean forward than fz6. Also the foot pegs don't interfere with your legs when put down on the ground.
