Okay, today i went to opposite ah boy shop to purchase a helmet for my gf which she prefers it black visor-ed. so i ask this shop assistant about black visor and guess what he says ?

he said, "bang, don't buy black visor lah. even if it's pillion you will also kana summon ah. 70 dollar you know", if pillion no license you pay, got license he/she pay."

i was stunned to know about it, but eventually he said he'll still do it for me if i want. so whatnot. just hiong only if kana summon then say.

But what i want to point here is "Even pillion also cannot wear black visor meh?"

regardless of how lame of u guy thinks it is, tinted visor for either pilion and rider is an offence even if the tint is only halfway...if i was informed correctly a couple of years back...it's not actually just the tint, but changing tinted visors from the original one is considered illegally modifying a psb approved helmet. unless if the tinted visor come original with the helmet and psb approved. tp got mood swings, they can fine u for anything......

I asked TP a few months back.

Me: Sir, just to ask you, pillion with tinted visor is it illegal?

TP: As long as the person is wearing an unapproved visor it is illegal. We dont care if the person is riding or not.

So bottom line is "Anyone wear, summon." But need to depends on TP's mood too..

hmmm.. then if my pillion is blind how? doesnt matter chrome or black or clear or rainbow or no visor.....

my guess is they wanna restrict the use of tinted visors so they can be prevented from using in robberies..

Ever stopped by TP and told me that my pillion's tinted visor is not allowed.

Ever stopped by TP and was NOT told that my pillion's tinted visor is not allowed.

Maybe depends on their mood?

Its not about being rider or being pillon, its the helmet/visor that they wanna summon. How they know your pillon's helmet (which is tinted visor) you will not use it for yourself?

You might say you use tinted visor cos of sun which is glaring during day but will you bring 2 visors out (1 clear 1 tinted ) and change it to clear during nite?

Tinted visor especially those full black will reduce our vision during nite and might pose a danger. Its really up to the TP to summon or not to summon, but if u nvr get caught then just count yourself lucky.
