no wonder last sunday saw u on tv .... turning into a green monster on and off whenever your heart beat reaches 200 ... :p

sorry guys mind me asking some ?,,, 4 of coil cap plug from my bike being told from the mechanic are spoilt.. can i know the consequences and is it because of wear and tear.,, as i just wash the bike after 2 days without start it and this thing happen.. aniwae my R1 is 2005 model.

the firing of your spark plugs will not be good ... leading to incomplete combustion which means high fuel consumption and loss of power.

 

your bike can still move but no power and poor response.

 

yes this is definitely wear and tear. Washing of bike will definitely have no effect on this as the coil cap plug is way hidden inside and also placed in such a way that the sensitive part will not touch water easily.

 

unless u take a hose and purposely spray water unto it for sometime or your bike submerges into water then its another different story.

Andy AKA Duperman just encountered this like 2 weeks back... and yup... it's wear and tear and just nice it happened when u washing yr bike...

IMPT NOTES: remember to always let yr bike cool down b4 washing yupZ?? Disc Brake hot hot oso must careful....

Guys i need help about my r1'08

On the 3rd of august my bike batt flat then i went to change my battery.

3 days later my bike died along PIE. i had to change the magnet,(not magnetic coil)

then i paid $600 for the magnet.

Now my bike batt flat again and they said its my startor motor.

Is it true or the shop trying to eat my money?

How much does a startor motor cost.

WOW.. this is quite serious... why u only change the magnet and not the coil tgt?? ?

i believe yr battery is not charging as u moving around... isn't this the rectifier's prob??

The bikeshop tells u its the starter motor faulty... of coz man... Battery FLAT how can the starter motor work?!?!??!

i not sure abt this... u gotta wait for the old birds for the answer...
