FZ1 - FAZER 1000 Review

if you talk about power & torque, its obvious the Fzs1 is so much better.

 

but if its about technology, the Fz6 is efi, lightweight aluminium die cast frame, fully digital meter convertable between miles and km, with outside temp digital gauge, neat underseat exhaust with catalyc converter, fuel efficience of about 19-20km/ltr, small turning radius at full steer.

One problem for short bikers like me is trying to backpedal the bike while seated. For a tall bike like the FZ1, this will be an even greater challenge. Even on my CB4, I must make sure that the road surface is not slippery when backpedalling, otherwise, can really risk the bike toppling.

 

I think the FZ1 weighs in about 208 kg dry, which is a whopping 30 kg more than the CB4. From your comments, I think I have to first overcome the psychological barrier of handling the bulk before even contemplating tasting the power of this beautiful bike. The FZ6 may be more manageable, weighing in at 192 kg dry.

 

Decisions... decisions... but at least we're not short of great bikes to whet our appetites. So many bikes, so little time (money).

even the 04fazer6 also too tall for mi liao

thats y i go for the 03 model one

at least both feet can lay flat

mi lousy in pushing the bike backwards

dun laff at mi hor

so it depends on urself whether u r comfortable when stopping

Go for your dream. Get your dream bike. We are not getting any younger and so is our strength is getting weaker. If i were you, i ll will get my dream bike...as in your case maybe a fazer 6, fz 1 or cbr9....

I believe you can manage to handle fz1 well. Just a matter of time. As for fazer 600, i don t really fancy. ( You need to really know in depth what s the pros and cons about efi, before getting one. And thats why i sold off my Vstrom).

As for fazer 600 (carburator type) , its no longer on production. As for cbr model, its great...but running on efi too. Too bad.

If i were you, i will get my dream bike regardless of what people might say. Need to ride your dreams

Well, fz1 is one of my dreams, so as GS, FJR, and some other models that i failed to remember as my dreams has fade away.

FZ1 in reality, one of the best bike . I enjoyed riding it and this dream bike is gonna to stay long. Untill the day, when i reach to an age where i could not managed the bike and ends up with wave125 or cg125 perhaps. But in the meantime, i m having fun...yes, fun riding with my FZ1 till age catch me up.

anyway I just got banged at the rear tyre by a f-up fazer rider with FW plate, silver colour at the Balastier entrance to CTE... Damn.. lucky bike neve fall.. that CB never even aplolgise, just speed off..

Thanks. I tried searching for efi but couldn't find anything. Any advice on what to look out for in terms of good and bad for efi bikes, or which website is good for explaining this? Thanks a lot.

About that 9 Mths Fz1. Bike Cond is good except a fall on the left.

Had fall protector but exhaust left dented.

 

Check with hong leong... 2K plus for exhaust but no stock. Quite Ex!

 

As offer price of 15K is quite near new price, will let this bike go.

Will continue looking...

 

Do drop me a post if u know of any kawan who wants to release his FZ1.

 

 

Was able to have a test ride... Really nice.

Won't be long before I own one...

 

...just have to keep looking.

Actually u can try asking for $13.5K lah. Since the bike had a fall, the owner may not be able to sell off so easily. This is a good bargaining tool to lower the price and try again.

I went down to the track last Sunday. There were only a few bikes in the morning (the rest must've been watching F1 on tv. )..... i'm trying to see if I can go down next Sunday also or tuesday if I'm free. The problem is I can't confirm day and time as yet. Its always a last min thing. I'm really sorry. I wish I had the choice of applying for leave in advance. My job sucks at time.
