curious.. what is 'interlinking tubes'? is it the one with many2 holes when we look inside inside the exhaust? and secondly, cannot mod the 'interlinking tubes' so that it is capable of 'producing the same power as a pure race can'?? haha..

The interlinking pipe is actually a "Y" core that channels from 1 inlet to 2 outlet. Therefore, the dual-port endcap.

 

In my opinion, this interlinking pipe is beneficial for street bikes. Under normal riding condition, most of the exhaust gas goes out to the bigger port. During this time, the smaller port act as a backpressure inlet to reduce/eliminate low end power lag.

 

And when you start to go high revving, more exhaust gases is being produced. So when the bigger port is maxed out for the higher output, excessive exhaust gases will then channel to the smaller port creating lesser engine stress and allowing you to push your bike to its limits at a shorter time.
