Regarding the Towing Insurance which Kenny has mentioned, it applies to me usefully last year when my bike break-down. I had activated the tow-car but came to pick me up is a van. Anyway maybe cause mine is a small bike (kips 150) and can fit into the van, thats why they came with the van.

But the only problem is that the tow-car only bring me back to the mid of causeway (1st link) meaning I will have to manually push back my bike to Singapore custom after the Johor custom. At the Johor custom, cause the driver didnt bring his passport along and was stuck there for some time negotiating with the officer there to let them drive me till before the Singapore Custom. Luckily the officer give way and allowed.

Thus from my experience, buying the insurance is a worth as at least the tow-car picking us up guarantee the price is as what kenny had mentioned. Cause if we engage with those other tow-car service, there wont be a guarantee on the tow price which might even end up much higher. Dun forget that the price Kenny mentioned covers the to-and-back trip, the tow-car petrol, and the toll charges, and there is no other extra amount you need to pay anymore.

After pushing my bike cross the Singapore Custom, just park my bike at a carpark and arrange a tow-car to tow my bike to my bike-shop.

 

Hope my experiences can share with you on the towing insurance.

With Kenny and Simon around, trust them, they both will arrange things sui-sui if our bike really encountered with problems during the trip.

And really thanks them for arranging the tow-car for me, and even contact me the next morning to ensure I am back to Singapore safe with my bike.

 

And Lastly, will also like to express my thanks to my riding buddy for his accompanying with me at the highway when my bike break down till the tow-car came, and constantly contact with me until I reached Singapore then he go to bed and sleep.
