ladies and gentlemen

the long await motorise D.I.Y chain oiler aka "scott-oily"

this time i am doing a dual side oiling on the chain.

a push button switch will be install to the bike handle

(prefer point to mount is @ the bottom of the signal light switches)

why i choose 3V battery?

no cutting of existing cables on bike!

can be remove when not needed

press the button when you think is time to oil when travel.

eg

travelling on road just press the push button switch for 2 sec and the oil will flow onto the chain 1 whole round(depends on speed)average on 50km/h

material costing

1.1 x fuel pump -25sgd

2.1 x daiso alu bottle-2sgd(from last project)refer to diy oiler for bottle making)

3.2 x air valve-2.40sgd

4.2m x air hose-1sgd

5.2m x 1.5mm electrical cable-5sgd

6.1 x Y-joint -0.30sgd

7.2 x hose jointer-0.40sgd

8.1 x AA battery holder-2sgd (i got old holder $ save)

9.2 x AA battery-3sgd(you can use a cheaper 1)(i still got battery)

10.zip ties-2sgd (i still have)

11.1 x push button switch-2.50sgd(i got 50pcs left)

total-45.10sgd

total amt i spend-36.10sgd

12V battery use(assume connected to bike battery)

very fast flow rate even with the electrical cable inside.

its like a shower head splashing water at you.

9V battery use

slower rate than 12v but i still find it too fast

Great work...

but If the Oil reservoir is mounted higher then the chains, you don't need a oil pump. Let gravity do the work.

I have intention (but no time) to mod my manual control oil to automatic.. I already bought a fuel valve (Skipper 125), connect it to the carb, So once engine starts, the suction from the carb will open the fuel valve and oil will start flowing. But no time to do la.

This cut the need for wiring and battery change...

Mass DIY - Org once... only 1 turn up. hahahha!

there is another thread with no electric pump, using gravity law.

pls see here.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276033

i do the electric is to show ppl using a pump will also work.

the pump will stop the action if not turn on.

no need to turn on/off , before/after riding(if forget to off, chain oil will drip all over the floor)

just press the switch when need to oil the chain.

so far so good.
