bro, u need to ride more to get them (your body) seasoned! it's almost the same theory as how to keep fit, exercise more! hehehe! :angel:

 

 

thou my trip was kinda short... as I spent alot of time on NSHW with the 2b... but I really loved the feeling! It has been ages since my last touring after the incident happened last yr...

 

I also dun have anymore leave... So lets plan for short makan trips if not 1 day trip! Now my butt, hand all itch for touring again!

haha.. my back cannot be seasoned.. dont worsen very good already..

Nice, I have got my suppliers to source out a reliable marine cigg socket as well as he is supplying for marine side. But I have been thinking for a long time whether should I get a cigg socket anot, as my battery have been giving me alot of headaches... I dun wish to install another additional thing to increase the load of it...

maybe not be your battery? have your rectifier and coil checked also lor.. anyway how much is the marine cigarette socket? at the moment i am considering to get weatherproof usb port.. any lobang?

in the first place was that you or not? red tank bra, red bike, h&b side panniers and i think its a givi topbox? if that's you, you smiled and acknowledge a red fz6 with huge windshield on your way to cameron at a petrol kiosk.

there may be a trip next Sunday for early morning dim sum + holand trip up north via trunk road and will set to return from any point where we are from noon onwards... will hit back to JB town for late lunch or tea break or early dinner + wash bike... stay tune to your mobile by the mid of next week!

Does anyone share my sentiment that our FZ6 feels really underpowered when moving off, especially with pillion? To add insult to injury, the clunky gearbox (especially from 1st to 2nd gear) makes smooth upshift difficult, no?

 

Picture this: pretty girl sitting behind you, ready to move off. You twist the throttle and let out the clutch slowly, only to see the uncle on the scooter move in front of you. Not wanting to look bad, you rev up the engine to 6000 rpm. You catch up with the uncle and the cool wind blows at your girl's hair. But alas, the upshift from 1st to 2nd created such a loud sound that your girl is afraid that your FZ6 is going to fall apart. This could be the last time she sits on your FZ6. Dang!

There's a few ways to solve the issue of the gear shifting as well as the lack of power.

slow move off: Cheap alternative upsize your rear sprockets; expensive way PC + Tuning

 

As for gear shifting: engage into 2nd gear skip stopping at gear 1. Try other EO grades maybe the grades that u are using isn't suitable for ur bike

Moving off in 2nd probably works when riding solo, but with a pillion the engine will probably stutter.

 

I have been using fully synthetic EO (tried 5w30, 10w50) but they don't seem to have an effect on the clunky upshift. Oh wel, such is life.
