[Q&A] International driving license - for motorbike

Hi All,

 

Just need advice from those with experience in biking overseas.

 

Many of the bike tour organizer i encounter requires a International Driving License.

Where do I get it if I only have a bike but not car license ?

My IDP states that

Class A: Motorcycles with or without a side car, invalide carriages and three-wheeled motorvehicles with an unladen weight not exceeding 500kg (900lbs).

 

The rest are all 4 wheeled vehicles. You may be rejected if you don't have a class 2. Maybe you can call and verify before you go down to River Valley. I always renew my IDP over there.

 

Which country are you going? The IDP can only be applied in certain countries.
