How to know if it's on reserve already?

fuel gauge will flash and trip indicator 1,2 will change to F. and meter will count from there.. i read about it somewhere before.. let me search..

When the last bar starts to blink and your mileage meter changes to F:XX km. That lets you know how many miles (to Babylon) you've ran on your reserves. So if you're FC is about 20km/h. Going at 3.5L of reserves, you can travel another 70km before spluttering and being stranded at the road side.

I believe all TDM petrol tanks are standard 20 litre size.So far the most I managed to squeezed in was 19.1 litres.I'm getting around 24km/L wif my kind of riding.Few questions Joekia -

1)Was your bike upright when u pumped the petrol?

2)Where did you pump to?The brim or below the brim?

3)Did you wait for the petrol to slowly ''go down'' and pump again or just 1 shot pump full throttle until you reach the brim you stopped??:cheeky:

20L by spec..

or check here..

that's theoretical figures... last night, mileage was 390 and can squeeze 18.5l..

so 20km/l and guess i'm quite low range.. compared to TakeHow or Encik Pak... they can get 24km/l

No wonder you having a hard time getting a spare bike....:dozed:

Thanks for e clutch cable Boon.Btw fellas I have a question to ask.Whenever I'm unable to start my bike, this code 19 will appear on my digital display.Tried searching in the service manual but unable to find any info.Any of you fellas encounter this before??

What I do to rectify this problem is I off the ignition for a few seconds and try starting it again...o_O

Strange...... once i managed to squeez in 21 litres!!! Cos when u pumped

to the rim, it will sink down slowly & i can still pumped a bit by a bit till it

reached 21 litres.............

Correct! The badass Mr.19. My case is the worst, Bypass the side stand switch, 19 still on, try to replace relay switch, 19 still on. Change new CDI, everything looks fine. :faint:

Now my bike also have the sympton of "fail to start". Switch on/off the key, also "fail to start". But 19 did not appear this time round. Spray WD40 into the key hole, everything looks all right again.:sian:

If u have the 19 sympton, what you can do is:

1) Try to replace the side stand switch or try to bypass the side stand switch. Or

2) Get your mec to check on the wiring. Or

3) Change the CDI like what i did (Hope this is not needed). Or

4) Send ur bike to hong leong and ask them to check (What I will do next)

Hope it help.:cheeky:
