hi any cub riders there .. can u explain to me the specs of x1r,spark and wave plz ... i nid to noe whether it has clutch? how's the gearshift? if step down meaning going up gear or .. wat? u noe? then ... i notice there's an xtra gear pedal at the heel area .. wats that for? ... then ... which is better economically? better or easier to maintain? raftlly how much is ''on road'' price?? .. i'm really blur bout this .. plz help any kind ppl out there ... help!

Hey Foxie,

Have you tried to ride a CBR 125 ? Well to compare it with the R125 whats your pick ? It might be lop sided but both of them have good FC and about the same speed if i am right . I kinda want to know more about that bike . Well I dont think i might be able to afford the R125 unless its within my budget .

i just think that cbr 125 and r125 is similar. just that r125 is nicer, developed with better parts and of course more expensive. my guess will be r125 will be a good bike provided u can afford it. i'm currently waiting for the price to at least drop around $9-10k OTR before getting it.

straightener: me 1st bike, p plate 1 week i bought at 13k otr. loois motor asked for 1.5k down but i gave more than that.

13k includes your 1k insurance right? anyway, had a chat with a group of my friends just now. we were like talking about what bike i wanna change later. when i brought up r125, they were like telling me it's too expensive for a 2b bike like that. come to think of it, it's kinda true la. 4 stroke. no torque. no top speed. fc good la. but cannot beat that of a kupchai.

 

and so they tried to convince me to get aprilia rs125. which is also what i wanted. but someone experienced from the forum adviced me if i buy, i must commit a lot of things, money, passion and their stock parts must always change to better ones. so, i'm still confused now which to get.

 

r125 is expensive but i'm sure it'll be so much cheaper to maintain than an rs125. if top speed wise, i don't really mind. if change pipe, if can get to 140km/hr, i happy already.

Every bike has their plus and minus points.. At the end of the day, it's just you and your bike.. So decide yourself, dun let others do the thinking for you~

R125 expensive then ask u buy RS125 which is more expensive? More expensive in machine price and maintenance + fuel. And since Top Speed dont matter to you,why are u paying extra for SPEED which dont really matter to you and why spend on RS125 when u can get a cheaper, nicer, easier to maintain, lesser FC, ALSO MADE IN ITALY/EUROPE bike?

FYI i already tested stock bike spark135 n r125, i let the spark go first

i catch up with him later my friend bike spark135 which run @120km/h while r125 run @ 107km/h which i manage to overtake him n left him more than 4 lampost.(FYI BOTH ARE STOCK BIKE)

its ridiculous..for r125 to clock that fast speed..125 cc, 4 stroke? that sounds as if you're trying to comfort yourself on buying the bike.. bro, r125 is just for glamour look..not on performance..unless you use big bore kit and full system exhaust..but however also, you can only reach up to 170 max..that depends on how the bike is done up.. think of it.. im not surprise if yamaha spark 135 can cut you by 2-3 lampost...hahaha..

 

im riding rs125 08 full powered version with gianelle full system exhaust. so far i clock close to 180km/h..but can go further if i use 154cc big bore kit...dun be surprise if it reaches 260km/h on those...its proven..trust me..haha..

If you have read the past few pages (instead of the first few pages), you should get a clearer idea of what this bike is good/bad at.

 

To clear up your doubts: A fully stock parts R125 max speed is at 135km/h (on an average down hill), about 120km/h on a flat.

 

PS:I still think this is not a bike for racing. Its just an ultra uber nice looking daily transport bike that is pure eye-candy for people. I rather be in this catergory rather than "wow a bike as fast as a bullet just went past me, didnt get to see wat bike was it" catergory when both bikes are about the same price with 2-3k difference. As u mentioned, for glamour, but in my own addition to your point, for daily transportation. With a 40-45km/L FC, its definately wallet friendly. *wink*
