i stay wdls.. btw, u sure u calculate correctly?? 39km/l is freaking good!! can make one more test when you next top up? hehe.. just to be doubly sure.

Yea sure, I dont see why not LOL! Im now running on V power.

My calculations:

When I went to top up 10 litres for the first time, my meter is at 44km with 1 bar on my fuel gauge.

When I went to top up 10 litres for the second time (yesterday), my meter is at 434km (I remember clearly it was 433 with it first became 1 bar, but on the way to petrol station it became 434.) with 1 bar on my fuel gauge.

So how far can my R125 travel with only 1 litre of fuel?

*gosh that sounded like some PSLE question LMAO*

PS!!!!: I dont work for loois motor or advertising for the bike as a dealer. My facts are all based on what i see is wat i type. If u all choose to think otherwise, its up to u to believe or put away my reviews. Im just a noob who just passed my TP on 22nd sept with 18 points (12 points due to my bad habit of reving too loud causing slow moving off, wobble when turning, poor acceleration, etc total 12 points XDDD), doin a real life 1st hand account review on my bike. My engine haven run in also, my 1st top up was 95, 2nd top up was Vpower. Average speed for me is 75-80, on 6th gear for now which i tink its a safe speed for me and my gal. Ride safe and enjoy!

The meter (395km) was taken on monday, 2 days before i top up my fuel (434km), which was on wednesday after I came back from work.

Based on that meter, calculations would be like

395-44 = 351

351/10 which will give you 35.1km/litre alrdy =)

sometimes cannot use bar leh. not that accurate. for me, i always fill to the brim. then the next time i top up, i fill to the brim also. and then i see how much i top up and see the mileage for the calculation.

btw, you sure you top up 10l ah? not $10 worth of petrol. lol.. but even using your method, reaching 400km+ itself is supposedly impossible if based on the actual review from others.

my only conclusion is if you wanna have good fc, keep it below 80km/hr. if you want 20-25km/l, maybe that's when you like to ride fast!! haha.. agree anyone?

I used to bar to gauge if its time for me to refuel only. To check how accurate i gauge my usage by filling to the brim. R125 tank is made in a way where u can take out the whole fuel "valve cap" and see the fuel from the top clearly. I topped up 10 Litres and paid $18+ for 95. $21+ for my V-Power. I top till the EXACT same point when i refuelled for the first time and it read on the meter 10.00 (actually to be exact its 10.03) litres. So I can be sure i used up the 10 litres I topped up the first time.

Lets not forget my engine hasnt run in yet. FC tends to be even better after engine run in, no? If I continue using my way of riding, maintaining at 77-80km/h, kick my habit of revving alot, logically I shd be able to hit 40-45km/litre right? LOL!!!! Yayness heehehe, will update again on FC after my V-power is used up ^^

Lastly its also 4 stroke and FI, obviously FC should pwn any 2 strokers. If my friends' SP is about 20-25km/L. Its not really dat much of a surprise that the R125 can hit 30-35km/L. I think thats the average FC for R125. 40km/L is prolly becoz of my low speed of 80km/h. =D

Ride Slow

Save Fuel

Save Money

Save Lives

Save Points

I dont really see the need to speed that much lol, the only thing i dont save is time, but i still travel faster than public transports =X

Duh..Its a 4 stroke..2 stroke bikes have alot more "wasted" fuel..But I guess it evens out considerin the power it delivers..

You should compare it to a wave I..Its also EFI if I remembered correctly..But the FC should be much much better..And its a 4 stroker too..:D

09/07/2009 - Passed 2B TP (10th attempt)

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

Yea of coz, due to the weight of the bike. Wave is so much lighter. After getting used to my bike's weight, i try a kup n rxz, feels like riding a bicycle, SO LIIIIGGGHHHTTT!!!!! >

FC update (14-10-08): Mileage meter 733km, Balance 40% fuel on fuel gauge.

Last Fuel Top Up date: 08-10-08

Mileage on meter when topping up: 434km

Amount and Type of Fuel Topped up: 10 Litres V-Power.

Average Speed: 77 - 85km/h (Yeap I tried speeding up and maintaining over 80km/h on expressway, went to central mall from boon lay and return, for the 4 days I worked there.)

In depth Calculations for up till date FC:

Total Distance travelled since topping up: 733km - 434km = 299km

Fuel Consumption up till today (14-10-08): 299km / 10 Litres = 29.9km/1Litre with a balance of 40% (maybe lesser around 30%, supposely i give a threshold of 10%)

Will update again when i am done with my fuel till its 1 bar (thats where i went to topped up)

Cheers & Ride Safe

a good economical sporty-look bike, but still u have to pay a lot for monthly instalments even though its fuel economical.

im riding an rxz now with everything in stock condition,it can hit up to 434km full tank(just that its 13 litres),even though theres 2t(5 pumps of petrol=1 bottle of 2t),definitely bikes like rxz is more saving(i bought it at 1.4k otr) for youths or those with low income.haha

anyway didnt mean to spoil the heat of r125,love to get one if i get a windfall.

ride safe foxie, remember, even though u dont speed and ride carefully, doesnt mean others would do the same to u.

good luck!

rxz first hand 1.4k?

if compared to the about the same price range of bikes ie Aprilla RS125, CBR125 etc, my bike will pwn in FC but lose out in speed. So as i said we cant have the best of both worlds.

Just that its good to hear that the FC is very low, so as to reduce the already high wallet damage due to the instalments, the R125 can be seriously taken into consideration for a class 2B supersports series.

Imagine an alrdy very high instalment monthly + high FC + 2T = Wallet Cancer? or just too effin rich to heck care about those things? UNLESS the word PASSION takes over, otherwise i would brand them (and me) a dumbass idiot =DDDD

FC update (17-10-08): Mileage meter 880km, 1 bar on meter

Last Fuel Top Up date: 08-10-08

Mileage on meter when topping up (08-10-08): 434km

Amount and Type of Fuel Topped up: 10 Litres V-Power.

Average Speed: 77 - 85km/h

In depth Calculations for up till date FC:

Total Distance travelled since topping up: 880km - 434km = 446km

Fuel Consumption up till today (17-10-08): 446km / 10 Litres = 44.6km/1Litre

I guess the FC got better maybe becoz

1) the engine runs alot better now compared to when i first bought it

2) i travel at higher speed?

3) V-power?

This time i tried cutting down on the heavy reving stupid habit too, but nonetheless i still do it sometimes LOL!

Verdict:

39 km/L (1st attempt) 44km - 434km

44.6km/L (2nd attempt) 434km - 880km

Average if u ask me, i'd say 40-45km/L. =)

I took this pic today at the petrol station. I was suppose to take the pic with the 1 bar on the fuel gauge but I only remembered I had to do that after I pumped my fuel, if u think Im making all these up fine by me, but Im telling u that this bike's FC IS GOOD. You can easily hit 40km/L if u ride normally. =DDDD
