I went to JK before to enquire about the RAM mount. The pricing quoted from JK made me order online.

 

been to JK and bought the RAM power supply + holder for de GPS....only reason for paying the overprice is due to a ride coming hence the urgency of getting the item & not cost-saving.

 

that's the problem with local dealers, selling more expensive than online retails..

 

the only few types of customers that they will get is those like hock whom urgently need the item and willing to spend more money to get ready stock items..

or those that are lazy, paranoids or dunno how to purchase online..

 

in most cases, buying online is cheaper even with shipping.. and you are guaranteed to get your items within 10-14days (From USA)..

when a local shop doesnt have stock, they will tell you put deposit.. then tell you wait.. a week after a week, weeks after weeks..

 

google is your best friend, just compare prices with local dealers and online stores.. weigh the pros and cons..

do note that some dealers are selling cheaper than online prices, one example is THULE dealer.. very friendly too..

To john and s10 brudders,

 

Saw the post in FB regarding the rubber seal on our bikes swingarm. before u posted about it, i saw the rubber seal while looking thru my bike. And yes the rubber seal is not a nice fit to the hole in our swingarms. Was wondering what is was/was for at first. Only after John posted it in facebook that i understood the purpose of it.

Went to my bike immediately after reading John's post, took the seal out and guess wat... water was dripping/flowing out from it...(rain rain go away...plsss)

in the post, some guys actually drill holes in the swingarm to drain out the water.

Just wondering wat other methods u guys do to drain water out from the swingarm other than drilling holes to it.

Very sayang lah to drill holes to the new bike. hehe.

 

Secondly just to confirm, the plug is only on the right side of the swingarm right? meaning, since the right and left swingarms are connected ( i think? ),

how do we drain water that is stuck inside the left swingarm????

de S10 swingarm is a 1 piece U shape molding. so thats the only plug.

 

only way is to unplug and "air" while the sun is out. nothing serious about water inside it as it alloy material however drilling a hole will create more demage as the intergity of the material strenght will be affected.

btw i have to say. s10 power daaaa...despite the brake lever squishy lah, swingarm got water lah, i think in all S10 do give a v v gd reputation to itself. They shud change the name to Super Duper tenere. or to make it singapore version, then it shd be Shiok! Tenere. Or Power tenere.

Bike model choice is very personal & wallet allowed.

 

Even if the S10 looks like a bug with it mouth open...I still prefer the reliability and the advance feature.

 

Days of bike can't start,fault code error & pricy parts are over for now.lolx

imho, bikes are machine to be used by riders. First of all, dont need to have brand loyalty, or side any brands.

 

Whichever company can make a bike that you like, and you can afford, ride it. Due to different manufacturing R&D, sure have different good and bad. I'm sure all of them have good engineers, but different understanding and different ideas they want to achieve.

 

Coming next year, you are going to have adventure bikes with DCT v4, parallel twins with different firing sequence, boxer engine, triple cylinder, chain drive, shaft drive, different weight and stuffs. What really matter is the ride, go get whatever bike you like, and let everyone just ride together, go to places, without caring what bike they are riding...
