Bros, wats d milage for 1 full tank on the xt1200?

For my case. I'm doing average of 270km before reserve tank.

Average best per/litre. 23km/L

Average worst/ Litre. 19km/L

Both (S)Sport & (T)Touring mode actually not much different or affecting the mileage. But Power delivery got slight different.

Hi all, wonder all are XT1200 owner here? What's the diff between S and T? 660 and 1200 is it?

Am interested in getting the 1200, used to ride the R12GS, find that the ST12 is a better technology than R12GS. Any comments from u guys here.

I will think the Tenere XT660 & the SUPER Tenere XT1200Z.

S mode or T mode just alter the response of the butterfly flip.

S mode - full power

T mode - slight delay but still full power(good for loose ground)

Coming from a k1200GT.I would say I'm sold on the reliable.not that I had own for more then 6days...lol

I do miss the auto cancel signal & heated grip.as for the rest of goodie not to mention the bygone worry of unable to ride when needed.

I hope this XT1200Z can give me peace of mind.unlike the 'other' 1...haha

The Conclusion:

Currently in the Dualsport motorcycle market - there is no better bike - for the technology - for the price - for the looks - for the off road ability in this class and for the safety and many other reasons. BUT ? is this the bike for YOU? that is the question.

Many riders will still stick to competitive brands, as will die hard Yamaha fans continue to be loyal to their brand and buy the XT1200Z Super Tenere. IF you want the best 1200cc Dualsport Bike in the world at this time and its within your price bracket ZAR 139 000 - go and buy the Super T before Yamaha South Africa run out of stock. You wont be sorry and your buddies will be jealous.

just back from 3 state riding,

Great ride through cameron-Gua musang and from Kota bahru down to karak highway via kuala lipis, raub.

nice scenery along the way with bunch of corners to fully utilize ST features.

At KL met GSA riders and chit chat with him,

he intend to change to super tenere as high cost to maintain ???.

Normal service RM1200, Major service close to RM7K, omg,

it about there beh even for local beemer rider. average oil channge svc can range from $250 till $500 if wear & tear item need to be replace or shaft oil/gear oil etc. major svc like valve adjust/TB clean/engine/coolent/pumps/electrical related could range from $800-$2K.

infact,i know of few GSA ride dwn to sgp for svr due to expertise...while local GSA went up to software enable some add-on stuff.

overall. S10 is still way low in the servicing/accessories & brand image...as compare to GSA.

To each it own beh. :)
