ZongShen bikes from which country? China?

Sounds like some Cheena brand. The salesman said that it's a joint venture with Harley.. But frankly, not a thing on the bike resembles anything like Harley.

IF you do a yahoo check or youtube check on Zhong Sheng. U will be surprised.

5 Years ago, their bike is like ****. The gear box even shatters when M'sia side did a trial test on a brand new bike.

Now?

They manufacture Piaggio fly 150 and Gilera 200 for piaggio.

They are also one of the Harley OEM factory.

Typical sales talk.

Wow so that means their bikes quite reliable now. Rarely see these ZongShen bikes on sg roads

If the Chinese manufacturer buys over Piaggio/Harley and their technologies and rebrand them as their own brand like what happened to Lenovo/IBM, then yes, I will believe that they are reliable.

But I think it is more like Piaggio/Harley using the Chinese manufacturer as a springboard to manufacture low-end product to gain the big market share in China.

Must wait for the adventurous ones to share their experience with us - price, reliability, aftersales servicing, resales value and etc..

to ride is bliss

You might be surprised at some of these China bikes. As aforesaid some of them come with superior components.

I've read on a Thai bike forum that their engines are more or less tested and proven over the decades. Maybe not as potent as the best Japanese tech but good workhorses at normal speeds.

Well. 50 years ago, all say jap bike no good. better to buy bristish bike like norton or triumph.

Then 40 years ago. all say taiwanese bike no good. Better to buy japanese bikes.

30 years ago. all say taiwanese, india, korea and thai bike no good. Better to buy jap bike

20 year ago never change. still the same as 30 years ago.

10 years ago. all say india bike and taiwan bike no good. better to buy made in thailand and taiwan but japanese brand bike. eg NSR, KRR, Phantom, Cygnus.

Now all say China bike no good. better to buy made in thailand, taiwan or india bike.

I think all will improve overtime.

These are Chinese cruisers. The Lifan (white background) is a 400cc.

Check out that naked engine!

My YBR is a Cheena bike. Parts don't last, but they come cheap. Damn i love MIC products. If it breaks, just buy a new one. :)

hmmm still local are quite skeptical about M.I.C. vehicles... especially quality issue. Perhaps its not that bad afterall, since not many of us tried them out.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

That's one of the Zongshen customs on sale now. It looks like good ol Russian engineering, simple and robust.

What's up with the Rising Sun flag on the fork though, Japan invaded China!

Fine I'll get one with Chairman Mao posters instead!

first of all this ZX 150 wasn't a scarm at all ... no power ... is acutally a street bike engine and outlook of a scarm ... seriously i rode this on the road ... whenever i need to over take the top is only at 110h/km ... i compare with my X1-R meter ... my x1-r is already 100 abit up only ... .... this is a bloody useless bike i thinking to relasing this bike ... spare still need to order from bloody China . cannot oem de also . but FC still ok for this type "BIG" bike ...
