No wor, i only open a deposit bank account only. And subscribe a credit card only. Guess what, yesterday file feedback to MAS, today Mxxbank called me, assuring me they only divulge name and phone number to this insurance company. Dam i still scold them upside down, i never sign anything to release even my name and contact number. And its without my consent. Dam they are screwed.

 

efficent... not bad.. Lol.. i pity the operator assigned to call you...

Investment savy people, can banks give customers' phone numbers to insurance people to call us and canvass for biz? I keep receiving calls from AXA, Ace claiming they represent MxxBank. Does this mean the bank breach customer's confidentiality info (my phone number) to 3rd party (AXA is not Mxxbank)?

 

I wana make a complain to MAS to stop all these nonsense.

 

 

the easiest fix is to give a dud no. or a work no.

 

dont recognise the no. calling, dont pick up.

private no.? dont pick up.

and if u happen to answer, ask who they are and if its not who you would like to speak to then, tell them its the wrong no. and hang up.

They wont call back.

 

MAS have their hands behind their back because most financial institutions have a clause on distributing your personal info to 3rd parties.

 

the new breed of persistant mainland chinese operators are horrible.

i usually just reply in english and they get so frustrated, they curse and swear in CL2 and hang up.

Most people go through life following the crowd.

 

Others think for themselves.

 

They go their own way.

I had experienced one after asking if I can speak mandarin, when on to say, let me translate it to english,"Why are you so retarded, you parent-less child, cannot speak mandarin but only english, pig brain piece of junk."

I cant complain to the bank cause the no. comes in either as a PRIVATE no. or and overseas no. location, eg. China.

 

 

Not really bothered, just take it as a form of amusement.

 

You can recommend "friends" to them and give dud nos. or tell them you want to sign up but call back later and just dont answer their no. for the next week. Or u can tell them ure in the loo and put them on call waiting for 10-15mins and they will hang up eventually.

 

If we can be put on hold everytime we call the bank for some info, its about time they end up waiting for the customer. After all, who's earning the money from whom?

actually is there a way to automatically router these unknown & private no call to voicemail?

China XLX still OK la. There's space and tolerance for 1 or 2 cents movement without much damage to your portfolio.

 

U try trading in micropennies, see how your heart jumps when the thing goes up or down 1 or 2 cents. Every tick is like 10% of your money earned or loss. LOL. I think I'm getting out of micropennies once I've cashed in my profit. Not time yet.... soon.

 

 

Careful. It's thinly traded in HK...

recent IPOs of companies like Capmallasia.. Q&M dental seems rather successful.. where prices increase once listed...

 

Will the same senario happen to Hock Lian Seng? seems quite popular during their IPO where its share offering is almost 6times subscribe...

now that many of the stock prices have gone up, valuation is really getting a bit fat. Still holding some key counters like ST Eng, SATS, Singpost, SMRT, KepCorp etc.... but still slowly releasing as i deem fit.

 

are you guys still bullish???? or more neutral like me. just checking

i am still optimistic Throttle.. my counters have fallen from peak but still profitable (about 10% from 25~30%).. hope new year brings more $$$

i wait and wait for wingtai to go to $1.80 for 2 months.

Then i sold it all for $1.78 yesterday, just now suddenly shoot up another 3% .....
