yes of course, its black gold :)

hahaha, I mean narrowing contango means spot & futures prices are narrowing, so how does that benefits the producers?

i dont play 21 anymore for investment sake cause the turnover is way too slow. u get idiots who take their time deciding if they want to split or draw or buy insurance, time wasted for payouts and shuffling of decks and change of dealers, etc.

the qns u asked cannot be answered precisely in just a few lines, so I will do what i can.

a narrowing contango is normally seen as a bullish sign for the crude mkt.

as there are different types of producers, eg. produce purely CL, or produce to refine into distilates, produce to store for future price hikes.

therefore their reaction can vary.

most would reduce output, which will reduce supply and drop inventory levels, boosting prices and mkt sentiment. this normally happens if current fundamentals are supportive of such an outcome.

eg. 5wks ago when HO was in demand, there was more refining done to offset this and improve their margins.

contangos naturally regulate itself according to mkt flows.

but its more complicated as hedge funds have been pouring in truckloads in recent years. but generally, when the funds come in, they are looking at going long with a time frame of at least 1-2mths, rarely lasting more than 24mths.

downgraded by some houses citing speculative over buying.

new target prices range between about 80ct to 90cts.

For SGX purchase, minimum order is 1 lot.

Broker : DBS Vickers

Per transaction of 1lot (1000shares) = ($1.0x1000)+((($1.0x1000x0.000475)+25)*1.07) = $1027.27

I dont follow the detailed formulas when i trade but that doesnt look right. SE comms is subject to $40 min through a broker. unless internet execution by yourself.

Yep, internet execution. DBS Vickers online.

May I know what's the difference in using a broker considering the price difference?

sometime internet may slow or hang..

brokers are using terminals (which may slow and hang but rarely ) with dedicated connections, so it may be faster.

there was thread on CNA forums about slowness of internet trading platforms and every second counts.

you guys will be surprised of the processing rate of SGX trading engine per client and volume of orders going through every second.

for me, using a broker means just picking up the phone wherever i may be in this world. I travel a fair bit and find it more efficient to just use the phone and get the deal done.

Internet execution is very good for people who are less on the move.

It is also very cost effective.

so each has its advantage.

It's called transations fees. So be it a buy or sell transaction, it's still a transaction... So you still ahve to pay..

Max the good thing that comes with a broker is their knowledge of the market and of course someone to increase your limit for you, remind you to pay for your shares, monitor ur shares for you..

In the stock market, information if very important... Unless you do not have to work, sometimes it's good to pay a wee bit more as they're reading the corporate announcements constantly...
