I'm pretty heavy on equities but will still add on bit by bit.

 

I believe liquidity will still drive markets up.

actually i am itching for a change but cant find something reasonable to replce my car.

 

reasonable being under$200k, looks better, performs better, enough boot space and premium brand.

the probable only choice is a 335i but i think my car has more presence so in the end didnt change.

 

was thinking of SUV for family purpose but i dont really like the driving experience especially in space scarced Singapore. sigh.....stick to current car first

Saw a lotus elise yesterday, so lightweight, practially flies on the road, i believe this is one of those cars with the power-weight ratio equivalent to most bikes, very nice acceleration. Better than mazda MX5. One of those things i did splash on if i have the extra.

X3 a bit small, and the shape not so nice. I better keep my 6er.

 

I like the X6 but the rear window a bit small causing more blind spots.

plus it's 4 seater and much more expensive....maybe go view first then decide.

 

Quite wasteful to spend $250k on a car, really.

In northamerica, it is a top end Porsche for that kind of money...sigh...

Need some advice from you guys as i have not ventured into investments before. I've just realised that i have 50+k sitting in my cpf ordinary account. From reading the cpf website i gather that i have to leave 20k in there and can invest the rest. I was thinking of putting the money into some stable stocks with a history good dividend returns for a few years, not looking to do trading for profit. Does anyone have suggestions on resources i can research about this and also what companies fall into my criteria of stable stocks with high dividends? Any other alternatives for making my money work instead of rotting in the cpf account?

You need invest in approved AAA or some fund rating from cpf, but no use wan, my stock still losing money despite the stupid rating. Its just one of many honest mistakes.

I believe its 30k that needs to remain in the account, not 20, pls double check.

 

nothing spectacular to opt for really, just pick & not hope for too much

dumping 20k in the majority of the funds rarely return more than 10%*p.a.

Why COE shoots up where stock market falling? Is that piece of paper for a car more important than value of companies driving the economy? Sg is weird.
