US BILLIONNAIRE investor Warren Buffett said on Monday that a massive natural disaster would not hamper the future of the Japanese economy and could prompt a new bout of stock buying.

Can anyone intro a charting software which allows you to build in your own TA stock screeners?

 

i.e. Instruct software to list out all the stocks which meet a set of TA criteria

- prev day RSI 30

- MACD fast line - slow line = positive, & prev day MACD histogram

- stock price - 8 day MA = positive

That pretty much sums it up.. But if only life is such easy and the stock market is that simple to read... Lesser buyer DOES NOT definately imply a selldown and more buyer DOES NOT definately indicates a buy up... Dun buy juz coz there' more buyers..

I wonder if anyone can provide insights to who are the market makers in SG/ how it works?

 

The only thing I learnt from reading off books is that the market maker for NYSE stocks is a 'specialist', one man show. I wonder if SG's system is the same or if the different IBs & brokerages all compete as market makers.

those in industry knows who are market maker for which stocks...

but for individual trader... i think it's difficult to find out...

Yup the basic functions are free, but I'm looking from an angle of an intra day trader.

 

Considering there are over 500 listed stocks in sg, a screener with a few of your conceived TA indicators will greatly enhanced your trading.

The paid subscription also allows access to intraday prices.

reasonably speaking, if you want to make decent money consistently trading intraday in sg mkt, your trx cost needs to be low or your trades need to be of good size. the sg market is not as volatile as some other regional markets, so you may often find yourself squaring out at day end without any gains

those are pricing ladders using the trading technologies X-trader software

 

other than providing the spot price, current bids n offers with a volume spread(thousands of which are icebergs), u do not get a complete picture on what's going on.

 

Last June at 2am, when I was watching the 900++ point crash on the dow, price was flying south so quickly, the handbrakes had to pulled before trading resumed. The prices was a blur of flickering no. everywhere. If you trading based solely on the TT and without a stoploss, god speed!~
