Hi Ben, congrats!..good choice to buy a mid range bike for Singapore road and especially S4. :thumb:

Your mech?..does he owns a S4? Anyway...hope he's right. Does he tells you about coolant and eo maintenance and necessary stuff to look out for?

I only asked him to help me check for the basics only, but seriously my machine haven been giving me problems. =]

About the rest, I'm sincere about learning more, but its confusing when the whole forum is so large and there is so much info to process and search for.

I'm wondering if I could pay a visit to you and learn more? :D

You be able to pick up 'answers' from the thread here base on problem/problems and other issues some of the fellow riders here experience. It would benefit you before you go to a mototiam..the least you are aware beside just hearing what mech..err..'chopper'..says sometime. Not all of them are like that but some yes.

yea, have been here since 2 months before my TP test till now 1 week after I got my bike, really picked up alot of knowledge from here since then.

*which explains why I'm v happy with my VerS ^^*

The ropes I've learnt about being patient, areas to check when buying bikes, price comparison and even now DIY stuff like oiler and all.

Have been doing alot of homework actually xD

But somehow it's just all theory if u understand what I mean =]

Spark plug life span is not determined by period in time but rather how they are used..that's, your riding style and type of plug used. Iridium last longer but cost ore..normal wear faster but much less and if you are the ride hard type, nickel and copper wear faster but performance wise...all spark plug are the same.

If one of your spark plug is not working..can tell by touching the exhaust header..it's cooler then the rest..meaning, that cyclinder combustion is not working for you.

As for your weird meter behaviour, it can be the meter circuit board or wiring sometime...and like you said..plug oso.

Go change your coil first but don't drain out the oil. After you finished..come over.:sian:

will meet up wif u soon then. prob on mon or tues..

Im loving every moment with my LV.

Yes...you are right. They are all still "friction eliminator" except that they have been split blended for each purposes..like for eo, tranission and gear box. This packaging is cheaper in a way. The one I have is a 3-in-1 and still have but specially ordered which is gonna cost much more. That's is gonna be a headache to me when present stock runs out.

Just let me know when want it a day ahead.

Hello all,

I need advice on what wrong with my bike(version S).

This morning, i realised that there was some coolant leakage from the left side(green colour) from my bike. The leakage was from the small hole of the block. My reservior was also empty. Was told by the motorshop that repair cost is abt $1K to $2K..What shld i do. I have temporay stop riding this bike. The question is,

1) Will continune riding caused the leakage seep to my engine and caused further damage.

2) How much is the repair cost and what should be replace? Engine Block?

3) Do I need to buy Engine block so that can proceed to repair. Thought of searching from scrap yard.

4) Read from previous tread, is quickseal effective to solve this problem. Where and waht is the cost of this the motor shop that provide this quickseal.

Sincerely need Bros are there for advice.

1) Depends on the ceack is internally or outer of the mid block but will affect other parts with further cracks due to overheating.

2) Replacing mid block is a lot of work and invovle valves grinding to match the new block. Cost the very most $800+.

3) If you need, currently I got one.

4) Its hard to find the right sealant that really works effectively. Rememember that this approach is temporary and cost less than a $100 but it does works and last for a long time..known of cases as long a more than a year.

If you need any further assistance or help in this, pm me. :sian:
