Btw I juz bought a super 4 vrsion R 3 months ago.Its COE renew till 2015,insurance $330.88 (F&T). Monthly instalment : $166.60 x 24months,amounting to $3998.40.Is it seems expensive or the right price??? :confused:

hi,

i bought my FR Version S last sep at 2.8k frm private seller. COE till 2009,COE not yet renew. Insurance mitsu,3rd party only($350).

 

Bike sound cheap but was in a miserable state...lots of tear and wear to replace...

 

1) handle bar(bent)

2) balancers(missin)

3) tires(Harden)

4) chains and spocket(canot make it)

5) respray(paint work gone)

6) seat rewrap(old one got holes)

7) valve clearence

8) magnetic coil(not chargin enuff power,batt keep getting flat)

9) block gasket(engine oil leaking)

10) timing chain(the tick tick sound everybody's complaining)

and more,forgot some of the things.

Total up : +/- $1500

 

 

to sino74 : u bought u super 4 frm shop,if so..actually quite cheap le..COE renewed somemore..insurance cheaper than mine..

Things yet done : Front & Rear Number Plate(Yellow Base and Black Alphanumeric),Rim Respray,Rear Suspension Service,Chain and Spockets,3points Crashbar,Rear Hugger(arrow),Brake Calipers Respray,Side Stand,Front Wheel Brake Pad,Lizard Skin for Brake Lining and Rear Suspension Springs

 

Still Considering : Pro Taper Handle Bar,Rear Suspension Riser,Givi Rack and Box,Spec 1 or 3 Tail Board,Modify Header,Digital Meter,Clear Headlight(Spec3)

Old bikes sure git wear n tear.nevertheless mine..ya..i bought it from motoshop...new Vtec3 paintwork too...mine also hav overheating proble but got e bike to replace e top gasket as he told me e water pump is a new one...

I got my super 4 Ver R during dec 6....

 

got it 3.8k otr...

then i downpayment 800...

115 x 36 month...

total up equal 4940....

coe renew to 2013 if not wrong...

 

 

new vtec 3 painwork...

but the bike also abit problematic...

trottle cable is chiong 1...

carb jam

cdi n recritifer die off...

tire harden...

 

changed everything liao....

now the bike is happy to go again.. haha...

pls... problem dun come again...:cry:

 

btw... bro sino..

how is ur fc ar??

my 320 open reserve liao sia.. haiz...

service carb liao oso the same...

i oso dunno is chiong 1 de...

but planet ah chong told me is chiong de.. that y when trottle.. the cable is not smooth at all.. jam jam de feeling..

 

then i go service bike at bikework by ah beng.. he also say is chiong de..

so finally go to HKL to change... the mech say oso chiong de.. tat y i know loh

 

btw.. chiong cable the knot there is freeplay de...

but original 1 is fixed...

 

cost me 75 to change it sia... =(

 

btw.. how ur fc?? havent tell me sia...

now my bike left bellypan n crashbar this two thing to add then chio chio liao...

 

waiting for government money.. haha...

 

my fc same as u... sob.. envious those tat can go till 400km.. haiz...

actually i service my bike at lots of places...normal service like EO changed,i go to Chai Fatt at serangoon road,engine servicing...i go to AMK Autopoint...

 

My fuel consumption full tank+reserve is 420km...but only have this milege once,thats was when i ride to anyway,max speed 85~90km/h.

 

Now think canot liao..cos i notice the RPM is not stable...moving up and down little by little...moreover,now i running on CBR L model pipe..more fuel consumption...but the sound...shiok!

Dun buy ahboy's belly pan,have time go to motorworld see see..i think their belly nicer..but no sure can fix on our bike or not...:cheer:

Hi there,there are many possibilities that cause the tick tick sound. common heard are timin chain and valves. anyway,i dun think the tick tick sound will cause any harm... btw,i had change my timin chain and done up my valves settings last year. indeed the tick tick sound was greatly reduce...and suggest by the mehanic to warm up the bike before moving off so as to reduce the chance of the tick tick sound cuming back. But sad to say,i often starts and go cos sometime wake up late and have to rush for work..now i think the tick tick sound is cuming back but not so loud lor...

Y dont u stick to 1 or e most 2 mech,at least they will understand n take care ur bike,juz like mine.Juz my 2cents thought.

U only ride max 90km/h?Once a while u need to clear e carbon in ur pipe...bro.

greeting to all ver r/ ver s bro

 

read some of e previous posts regarding FC :giddy: ...... i tht all older version s4..... pb1, ver r, ver s

 

should hav no problem reaching beyond 400km for FC regardless stock or aftermarket pipe(coz no vtec), thk mayb u all calculate e FC wrongly..... last time when i jus got e bike i oso tht my fc onli 320km den..... to 370km..... now 430km(incl reserve) :sweat: . some bro can clock till 485km..... :lovestruck:

 

pls dun trust e fuel guage, its not accurate. use total milage clocked divide by amt of fuel pumped..... hope tis helps... :smile:

 

BTW im riding a ver s....

Current P200 setup: Sinnob Sproc[15, 39], NGK platinum plug with spark booster, V3 racing coil, cheetah CDI[dual mode], broquet B2, DIY oiler, hazard light, DIY gnding, PE28[pj-38, mj-120], open pod filter

Planning to get ver s from private owner....have not view the bike yet,

pls share with me wat are the thingd to look out for...bike selling below $3 k.

check suspension got leak?

check fork got leak?

check engine got adnormal sound?

check main frame striaght?

check brake disc n brake piston got jam?

 

best is find someone familiar wif e bike go wif u....
