Valve clearance and top gasket for $180. Without valve clearance, any idea? Or might as well do valve clearance too uh.. Hmm. Wonder how much Unique would charge though. Prefer Ah Kee doing it.

can tell me more on valve clearance?

mine 150k already.. LOL..

Valve clearance is the distance or gap between the cam and the top of the valve.

Valve clearance need to be occasionally check and adjust because these components wear slightly with use and the clearance may fall out of the specified range resulting in extra wear (not enough clearance) or lost performance and noisy engine (too much clearance).

This may be a small hole but its dangerous as we are talking about flameable fuel coming sipping out. Heard the proverb that says "a small leak will sink a great ship"?...this small hole might and likely will become bigger one day as I believe there are rust around it internally.

If it was mine..I'll get a new tank (second hand one will do). If you are tight on budget...go to a handyman DIY shop and get some petrolleum resistive mixed epoxy or fibreglass mending mixtures to temporary patch it from the outside. Get it change soonest when you have the opportunity.

Ah...motivated right?...yes..when your bike looks good, you feel good and you'll ride good...inside out  Do check and search for all post posted by me. You will find all about polishing, waxing and what is use and the method. Work for most people but not all and the key is basically using the right tuff and lots o patient..a bit a day at your free time.

As for the clicking sound or ticking like...its ok when the sound do goes away. Normally cause by fine gap bewteen two metal components..due to wear and tear and create this sound when its cold..but gone when its hot because metatl expand under heat.

However, when its consistance and get louder, than you can suspect things is going bad....like wearing of shims and other stuff. It happens once in a long while and quite normal by my opinion.

fibraglass mending?? or petrolleum resistive mixed??

"handyman DIY shop??" >>> Any hardware shop that sells Do-It-Yourself items...NTUC oso got DIY section mah.

"fibraglass mending?? " >>> Mending (repair) kits for fibreglass stuff.

"petrolleum resistive mixed??" >>> Any epoxy that harden after a mixture of two different material that is not affected by etching chemival...example.."Steel Epoxy".

Patch work shuld last very long lah...but please..its a temporary solution.
