ah_pek, wen changing battery.. isit recommended to change the rectifier oso?

asked the mech to check the rectifier carging rate..should read more than 12.5v to at least 13.8v across the rpm range. Oso..if he asked you to change and you blur blur changed...make sure you take back the old one.

ah pek, i dun have alarm system, but from what i KNOW (pardon if wrong) got some is turn handle bar, and some is when someone sit on the seat (meaning got some sensor under the seat)...and i got see before this rs125 the alarm keep going off during loud thunder..so there must be some sort of sensitive movement-detector...:thumb:

Heh Wubefrub :) ...thanks for your input mannn1..despite you don't have an alarm yourself. Really appreciate your help. Completed my own design which is flexible enough to add more 'sensor' like when someone open your ERP cover etc.

Basically alarms triggers via vibrations/movements, sensitiviy level depends on the quality and setting of the product. Some can be sensitive to even vibrations caused by rain or nearby vehicle.

Turning on the ignition when armed will definetly trigger off the alarm.

Thanks mannn! :)

Hi Ah Pek,

Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNNBUkHWKPw

These are some characteristics (of a good alarm) which you can use for your reference.

Thanks Winner and yes..great alarm system..guess that's a lot for an alarm system..and as effective as it is also subjected to geographical area and theft methods. Only find the tilt or movement most useful...and may be the battery back up. Shock and vibration is ok but hate when it rains in our tropical weather and when a lorry or Su_ba_lu and Mit_su rumple by.
