Ah Pek's EO update

 

Hi all, just wanna post on the fuel consumption of my bike.

Previously it was averaging 22.5km/L with a pillion most of the time.

Best was 24.5km/L when I was riding alone and riding from west to selarang camp via ECP, mostly highways

 

After changing Ah Pek's EO.

 

1st tank, travel 350km pumped 15L ~ 23.3km/L (improve 0.8km/L:thumb:)

gonna update on 2nd tank once its hit.

 

After this I will be addin valve cleaner for the next 3 tanks.

 

2nd tank , travel 320km pumped 13.8L ~ 23.1km/L

Added valve cleaner into new tank.

 

Hey guys, wanna ask... when i close throttle quickly, will hear a "pak pak pak" sound which previously neva hear off.

What may be the prob ah? performance of bike not affected, still can rev up and go.. is it because of carbon stuck cos only after at some speed then i close throttle sound will come out.

 

Think I go try to clear my exhaust carbon. ride up to high speed, clutch in.. down gear to 3.. then release clutch.. should "POOT" and hopefully clear the carbon

"Poot" means its not hot enough and things are to wet inside..should have a loud BANG as a "Piek" tone. Do what you are doing but with clutch engane and in high speed engine braking mode..then off your kill switch for two seconds and o"on" again before the bike stalled..should get a loud "Piek"!

Just go to about 7-8k rpm off switch 2 sec then on back?

I know there are ppl in the forum say it can damaged the engine but I have yet to see one or logically known of one that is damaged. I do it all the time when necessary since the last 9 years on my S4. Basically its just pre-detonation and not on a routine basis.

 

Best is ti ride close to 90 0r hundred at 3rd/4th gear. Just shut throttle and while engine braking time..off the kill switch and on again. The louder the better..more things get shaken off from inside.

Sounds like 'back-firing' to me except without opening throttle when switch is killed.LOL!:angel:

Nothing lol, 3rd gear I whack to 100, release throttle and off killswitch during engine braking after that on back, no "piak" or "boom" sound.

 

The bike just go like nothing happen, after I off the switch I only noticed my rpm meter straight drop to 0. Then after on switch jump back to the engines rpm. Other then that nothing. o_O

Am I doing something wrong here?

hmm.............i also duno sia.........boomz means xplode or ris low.....

 

No one else answering?...anyway, basically, its the sound wave and force from the detonation that helps. This create a sudden surge of vibration thru sonic resonance in the chamber with blow out force to shake off any loose carbon flakes or loose soot and be blown out thru your pipe.

 

This is safe to do as long as the exhaust is not totally block.:sian:

But I don't think can clear carbon completely la.. Only those loose carbon. Want better go decarbonise the pipe :thumb:

Referring to the combustion chamber and exhaust valves..not the pipe. Anyway..nothing you can do that can decarbonise a 4-stroke pipe that's a 4-2-1 or 4-1. The most you can do is grind polish the header end only..or mid section which does not make much different in the end of it all. This is not a 2-stroke pipe.
