Hi All,

Saw some sticky thing like glue melt below the tank, after send to workshop and been inform is the cdi going to spoil. Any idea how much is the version s cdi cost?

Hi Ah Pek,

For the melt expoxy on the cdi, can I just leave it like that. Or I need to replaced cdi ASAP? Is there anything I can do with this issue? Thanks Ah Pek for the previous advice.

Nothing is wrong, the shop wanna earn some money, mine is also melted and has a lump on top of the exhaust header and still running fine. You don't have to do anything. Hope that helps!

Anyway don't mind share which shop haha..

"warm it up and let it idle to charge the battery once every 2 days"..the best way. No worries about the fuel.

Ah Pek , I believe there is a nut/screw to adjust the idling between the two middle centre carbs. I believe my idling screw had dropped off. Any advice

First case I come across. Need to replace with one otherwise bike won't idle. Cgeck with FJT or Chiong Aik (Advertiser here in SBF) or perhaps find a spoil carbs from bike shop.

Hello fellow s4 owners. Im from the Philippines.

I need some parts for my 1995 super four.

Where do you usually get your bike parts? Do you know any shops that has a website with list of their products including the price? Or any trusted online seller?

Im thinking of getting some parts there and brought here by a friend. Maybe it's cheaper there since they say that SG is a super four haven.

Thanks guys.

Mine also melted. Can see sticky sticky gluey like stuff on the engine and on the floor! Lol. Looks like hardened honey.

Ah Pek, I got problems with my Ver S. My bike cannot start. Before this the engine stutter like no more petrol but the tank is full. I took out the tank, unplugged 2 hoses and 1 cable wire and checked, there is no fuel flow even after switching "ON" or "Reserve" at the fuel cork there. Is this a serious problem? Can be repaired? The tank have a dent on the left side.

Ah pek, is it weird to have 100 front 150 rear, I just realised after I pumped air in always thought I have 110 front. Ver s max front is 110 right?

Hi loved,

VerS/VerR/PB1 is 110 front & 140 rear, stock.

front cannot oversize, rear can up to 150 max.

never heard ppl use 100 front before. how's your riding/handling? got sufficient grip? :?

or you've been riding with a slightly deflated tyre all this while?

just my $0.02

Goodee hor hot goodee... Mat witz sebastian! :p

Hi robot.sonic,

Greetings from sunny Singapore!

Yes, you are right. Singapore is a super four haven.

We usually get our parts from 2 places :

Lim Ah Boy (its at Kelantan Lane) - its for 3rd party parts

FJT (its along Rowell Road) - this is for original parts for all Honda bikes

All major bike workshops will have parts for super fours, as well.

Cheers!

Hey, thanks. No I'm not running on slightly deflated though. Cause I usually pumped 220kpa in the front but don't know what's with me as I always thought it's 110 until last night lol. Just got it in May. Handling wise I can't really comment much, cause I've never use other set of tires before. But to me quite okay. However, my front & back is different brand. I know my rear is battlelax bt45 front wise not very sure. Anyway has been contemplating to change new set. Now there is promo for metzeler m5, anybody using? Good bo?

Oh boy! I'm running on 120 front and 140 rear on my ver S. What's the implication of such oversized front cos personally I didn't feel any difference? Or maybe I'm just not gutsy enuff on hard cornerings.

Regardless, care to share the detrimental effect of such tyre settings?

No, not mocking u and neither am I ur teacher..it's something u are confusing me and need clarification that's all. Don't be too sensitive..I dunno I ask that's how we learn and what u said may be misleading or something I missed. "mocking me n trying to be a english teacher now...ok? now u happy?"...these choice of words reflects on ur character..whatever u think I'm thinking..go figure.

"if there is something wrong with that, just say so"..I don't do that. Just so u understand, doing so would be rude in my practice..it's like cutting in and telling ppl what I think is right and u r worong over ur statement made..so to say, I have to ask first before I say so..right?

Yes, you are trying to help and share..that's great but not the way you sounded so "firmed" about it and are confusing and misleading me.

Now.."coolant water = coolant"..this is not the definition. There are concentrated and non concentrated form. Concentrated has to be mixed wif ionised, pure or distilled water otherwise it would never be able to transfer heat away from one part to another. Coolant itself is a fluid (gas or liquid) and basically ethylene glycol and has no "water" to it.

Again, you wrote..."I misread distilled water as tap"...do you want me to be your English teacher?

Anyway..like I said..ain't mocking you or being ur English teacher..just trying to keep things on advising here precise for the many ppl reading here. You are right..I say you are right, you are 'wrong' I've to correct you without being rude..git?

Agree with you here.

So misleading. Yet stil want to argue.

Bro ice_cougar.....jux replace the front panel lor..

Thanks wayne. I haven't done it yet. So can go buy at FJT for the front panel? Bike unable to start as fuel flow problem, and electric starter is dead.
