Friend of mine. lady rider riding super 4 was charged $110 for RK-x ring @ the above shop mentioned.

such dishonest merchenics are really "A" hole.

i told her she kana chop big time....

full set for front and back spocket and 1 rk x-ring is the most $150~$180 for her bike.

 

all riders pls becareful.

Sorry, not trying to be offensive, but if your friend have ask for the price and feel reasonable to her and agreed to fix it. There's no one to blame, it a deal she accept. If she feel it not right, she can go to other shop, or if she have doubt, she can ask around first before getting it fix.

Anyway, thank you for pointing out the shop.

Well if she did ask the price of how much it was to repair or fix her bike and she duly paid for it since of course she didnt mind the price, I dont see whats wrong with this situation.. Its not as if the bike shop mechanics pointed a gun to her face and demanded that she fix her bike at the shop... She thought the price was fair, paid for it and left.. Its her own fault for not asking around and finding the best price.

well the thing is she shdnt have gone ahead with the repair if she deemed the price of the spare part too expensive.after all the customer has the right to refuse if he/she suspects something amiss.when the repair's already done,its the biker's fault if she/he suddenly feels she/he has been overcharged and then wana lodge a complaint with CASE..

u shuld tell ur friend to log in SBF for more info bout bike maintenance & parts price so she will know it all along so SBF is the place to know it more unless she needs to go shop to shop asking for price.

ANGRY!

 

very very angry. went there to change my runner's air filter to the hurricane one. first of all didnt do a good job, didn't change the settings etc etc, and my bike feels totally ****ed up now. second of all, scratched my fairing which i JUST changed, and then dont want to admit.

 

going back later with the receipt for my fairing and gonna make it a big deal if they dont wanna do anything about it!

I don't.

 

I only visit shops I have frequented for many years and I let them charge whatever. They don't make much from servicing my bike (I do part of the mechanical maintenance myself) and I purposely ask for things they have to order and arrange for immediate delivery to suit my sense of vanity.

 

 

Ps: No you can't do this anywhere - as TS said trust the wrong place and INSTA-CARROT!

good idea, but must be objective rating instead of saying dishonest or lousy remarks. When we put a low score they cant do anything, but how do we know the ratings is given by a legitimate user?

Currently few use it but eventually if you look for businesses and see a big chain of bad comments vs some particular shop, everyone will know to be careful...

another advise is.. always ask for the price and labour cost.. perhaps do some survey 1st whether the particular shop is reconisable by other bikers around.. if not post a new thread in this forum, surely other forumers glad to help.

 

anyway theres always mistake and we learnt from there..
