Currently, I'm using fully syn engine oil for d 1st time on my haya. So far so gd after 2000km.

Semi only last 3000km? I dont mind changin my oil often if need too. I would try to give best possible care to it. Perhaps i should start with semi than maybe later as time goes by go one grade up to full. I dont know if i'm gettin a grip on this concept correctly though. :cheeky:

Thanks dude. :thumb:

I got friend who use semi syn engine oil up to 5000km but I dun practise tat. Usually, my Busa dun click 3000km in 3 mths, But I change Engine oil every 3 mths or 3000km in which ever come 1st.

From wat i read from d other wedsite, those Ang Mo says tat when engine oil reach 3000km life span, d oil will be more thicker. So better change b4 it's too late.

Well i only chalk up around the region of 1000km per month. Under utilised maybe. :cheeky:

Foreign forums has tons of info but that also leads to info overload. I read stuffs about full syn causin clutch slips and such. Wonder if theres concerns like this here?

Perhaps better to emualate the styles n preferences of local riders.

Most likely headin down to Suzuki workshop for servicin come mornin if weather permits.

Hi all....

Hi Kata

Care to add pointers n advice on things to check for a 5000km servicing?

Departin from mineral oil now as run in should be complete by now.

Should i go full syn or just semi? Plan to change ze oil filter too so which calls for 3.5l of new 'blood' for the engine.

yo newbusa.. long time no see dude..

well, i've changed mine to full syn already at the 5k-km mark. So far no complaints but tat its much betta to use semi-syn oil as our bikes have not reached the 10k-km mark.

Mechanic told me tat oil filter can is gd for chg when u clock up abt 8k-km - 10k-km and i guess like wad kata said, its betta to use original oil filters.

apparently I've experienced the clutch slipping a few times after changing to fully syn oil. Perhaps its because the oil is new n too smooth for the clutch in the initial stage. But now the problem seems to have ceased over time as u ride

so wad u read in overseas forums are true to a certain extend.

Hi Kelvin...

Long time indeed after met just once at Taman S11. Hope yer Busa good health n powerful! :thumb:

Done my servincin. Chosed Castrol semi-syn. 15w40(whatever that means). Try this out first n see how it blends with my Busa engine. After some 3000km, shall go full fledge syn.

Also took out clutch cover to clear away accumulated grease/road grime around the 17T area. Saw someone postin about this way many pages back. Made it a point to get that done.

Hi Haya^Busa n Bugsy

Yes. Sorry for confusion. Just my way of sayin front sprocket. Thought that piece was a clutch cover since thats where the clutch pump is situated. My bad. :cheeky:

Firstly, you talk about you wonder how i ride, and mayb i ride like my previous owner.

Frankly speaking i take it that you are trying hard to insult me or insult my friend, you may have known or heard about my ex-owner. You may have even heard of how shitty i ride, i do not need to prove whether i am better or worse than you. Unless you are Valentino Rossi or something, than i respect you.

Maybe you think that i am a poser or a newbie or watever, that is up to you :)

I have openly asked you to meet up, so that i do not keep you wondering, but you chose to reject, that is fine.

Secondly, now you want to comment about my English, thanks for your compliments but i think i do not need compliments of yours over here.

I do not have any intention of making any enemies here or anywhere else.

In my whole life, i have made no enemies, i only have one Enemy, that is the rider of a Blue 02 ZX12R with number plate 77, those who know me will know why he is my enemy. That's all i can say

I have no right to stop anyone from posting crap, but if one feels like continuing with this trend, so be it, there is noting i can do. The choice is yours.
