No any reputable Japanese Company will by pass its agent. They can talk to you over the phone or e-mail but official replies/deliveries going through their agents.

you have to quite proficient in tuning to get this reflashing kit and doing the tuning yourself... most here wouldn't even try unless it's tested and proven to be working locally...

 

i've considered getting the kit... due to lack of parts, time and funds.. the project is on hold..

 

do let me know if you are getting it.. i'll be willing to lend you a hand if i'm free...

noted.i assume tats y u have 2 16bit ecu on trial juz incase u fried the ecu?will let u know if me n my frnd getting to mess ard with the kit lolx.

the flashing only works for 32bit ECUs.. and its quite easily available in the States and it cost about 100odd for each..

have done a conservative estimation already..

 

to properly tune and configure the ECU to suit a modded bike and to have it run like stock will cost easily near 2k.. :sian:

the next level will have the same level of fixed cost (for tuning and datalogger) but a larger portion for the equipment...

Getting deeply with no spare to play is wise to stop ... :p

Just go for something better than the stupiid freaking commercialized Power Commander which just control A/F, warranty over confirm breakdown.

I have seen so many cases ... crap ! :p

 

well, as of now, the PC is the cheapest option for most (although the hidden cost is mostly ignored).. as they are not willing to take the plunge for something better but more expensive.. :dot:

I got my ECU fully tuned by Suzuki. Never heard any problem.

 

Stock is the best.

Get matching aftermarket hardwares is good enough, this is one big areas that many don't get it. :p

Local vendors chop PC, later chop you with some follow up.

Not getting anywhere with same amount spend in the end. :p

There is a price to pay for every good stuff.

I know of a few who can write ECU programs from scratch,

this is what I call the REAL tuners ... :thumb:

As well as factory tuners ... :p

They spend their life understanding their trade, rest are amature. :p

 

That's exactly the point 'THEY SPEND THEIR LIFE UNDERSTANDING". Not like many kuchi-khuran (Hope I got it right).

Just use 10-40 fully synthetic. Any brand is fine, is a matter of that, if you are comfortable with the brand's name.

 

FYI I use Mobil1.

Yup. Thats me... I have said it before and kena for it here, but I will say it again. PC3 works for my current usage, close to stock engine with no aftermarket exhaust yet. :angel:

Erm, I would say it is a Chinese way of doing things lah. They would chop people when they know they can get away with it. Its a chinese culture, not just a Singaporean one.
