bt im duin it at my motoshop....

starter motor + rectifier + battery = $800+ :faint:

wanna ask... why affect starter motor ?

does the shop mean the stator ?

this is stator..or so call the generator

diy stator and rectifier change,

assume got stator, stator cover gasket, rectifier, new battery 12series.

know how to remove fairing, battery charger while u are doing the diy.

stator

- remove left fairing

- remove all 9 bolt via size 8 hex spanner

- clean up the gasket using pen knife or anything sharp

- take out the old stator, replace with the new one. almost idiot proof.

- put back the with new gasket.

done

rectifier

- remove tail fairing

- rectifier is located on the left side near the signal

- unplug and change.

done

relax drink kopi, battery charged, put in new battery, crank it up.

all ok. then put back fairing.

well done.

Wow sure or not all faulty? The process starts from the battery, next rectifier and the last but not least magneto coil.

The rectifier and the magneto coil sometimes have signs of burning marks and etc.Thats the tell tale signs of faulty

wah ur motor sound like performance motor, ie hard to crank when hot. need 24v starting system. very scary sound like the motor is coughing...

pray that i dont face this better get the 24v system up! but no time no time, haiz...

bro, i strongly suggest u check the generator... it the output is not high (ps when i say high i mean really high, if i am nt wrong abt 90+volt) , it will cause the rectifier to gone and nt charging ur battery which will cause ur starter motor to gone again. haha it comes as a package

check that 1st before u do the rest...

AC, nope from the generator connector (located under the tank),

the rectifier will be giving out DC already, when u measure the rectifier, u will be measure the diode voltage drop. to see if the internal is goody goody gd.

which yellow colour wire u talking abt ??

u mean recitifier to the alternator ?

http://www.hayabusa.org/forum/attachments/appearance-mods/128467d1233970441-chrome-stator-cover-mod-img_2835.jpg

See the three yellow wires ?

Trace them to the next connectors, check the connectors. If they are corroded. Rewire them properly. That might be causing the problem.
