Hi, need some feedback from the gen 2 riders regarding the aftermarket windshield. I'm currently using the Puig double bubble. Although it is higher than stock but due to it profile at the edge, I can only ride till around 150 kph with ease while sitting upright. After that, I will have to bend down slightly to avoid the wind blast on my shoulder. This is okay if I'm just heading to Malaysia for petrol/supper session. However the concern is during touring where there is long riding hours involved. And usually I will use a tankbag, so it prevented me from bending down to avoid the windblast.

I am looking for a windshield which will enable me to sit upright with minimal wind bast at around 170kphish. So I'm hoping the fellow Gen2 riders can give me some feedback on the aftermarket windshield you are using so that I can make a decision on which windshield to change to. Currently I think the best option will be MRA Vario but it look kinda of weird with the additional spoiler and need 3 months to indent.

By the way, I'm 1.75m and big size.

You got long legs and short body? Haha

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

i won't recommend zg ~ the material is too thin. vibrate alot at high speed.

I'm using puig z racing db, like kinwei's i think. like it very much ~ stable even at 300kmph..

but dunno if they have a touring version.. try checkout the website..

anyway i'm 1.78m tall (long legged :D and long third leg too :p)

hahah long third leg.. ya zg is quite thin and will vibrate at high speeds. MRA vibrates as well

so far power bronze and puig windshields are thicker and wont vibrate as much.. :thumb:

Thanks you all for the feedbacks. Not considering the ZG sport touring windshield due to it outlook. I think it kinda of spoilt the streamline shape of the bike. I understand windblast can't be avoided if I am not considering the tall windshield option. Maybe I should restate, I am looking at minimising the windblast, not 100% preventing it.

Puig in my opinion is okay. Good quality built, fit well and much taller than stock. However I don't understand why the edge is flat, parallel to the ground. This way, most of the wind is allowed to direct at my shoulder. Hence the fatigue during long distance touring trip. If the windshield is all the way slating till the edge, then the wind maybe directed to my helmet which at least better.

Maybe I should consider powerbronze as per your recommendation. Thanks ya.

Hi guys, I am posting my PUIG for sales, link. I will go for the Powerbronze instead. Not saying Puig is bad. It does match well with the outlook of the bike. It just that, it don't serve my needs that well. Anyway interested party can sms to deal.

Yup, all brand mentioned are reputable and good. However I'm more looking at how well the wind is being deflected but I understand this can't be seen by naked eye. So it either by riders' feedback or feel it personally. But different body built and height will have different effect as well. Tentatively I can only based on my current PUIG windshield and rough gauge by placing the new windshield beside it to compare.

I will be dropping by BT21 this evening to take a look at the Powerbronze. If it is okay, I shall buy to try it.
