Hi Reeve niu,

After looking it up at their website I have to agree dat Carl’s Junior is a nice place for a meet up but I do have a concern since I and a number of us here are Malay Muslims and the place is not halal certified I do think dat it might be not so suitable for us. Otherwise we will probably be der to watch other people eat, sorry, just kidding… I mean as a Malay Muslim, I do not want to be encouraging this and then the other Malay riders who are not well informed, thinking dat I suggested this location take for granted dat this place is halal (because I initiated it) and start ordering food.

:sorry:No offence reeve niu, but for the time being, unless there are other better and more suitable locations, I think we stick to Simpang Bedok first lah.

A very good morning to ALL riders, esp the Hayabusa riders who number probably in the thousands in Singapore alone. (Well, the Hayabusa has been around for more than 10 yrs already now.) These SBF bike forums was formed and intended to serve all riders of various makes and models and we riders are free to come in and say our thoughts and opinions on our daily aspects of riding experience. As long as the statements are logical and helpful, be it in the form of bike tips or purchasing as a mass and others I think we should not let the opportunity to share info be missed out. I also hope that we can maintain the mutual respect we have for each other as riders and not have to resort to being flamed, criticized, cursed, condemned and whatever else. I believe that we are mostly average wage earners:shy: out to have a bit of fun and a good time on our respective bike/motorcycle. I used to have some negative remarks put against me when I tried to share some small information which I thought was relevant. Arising from this event, I felt stupid and very very small and withdrew myself from making any unnecessary statements. That is why you can notice that although I have been a member for some years, I have not chalked up much postings. After talking to some other riders it seems to me that this is a common issue faced by other riders too. So for those of you, who like me once, was too fearful to say your thoughts out, I say, to heck with it, come forward, put aside our differences, have your say and let us banter and join in the fun:cheeky:. Live is short, live it.

Cheerio!!!:thumb:

Btw, do put ur name and contact in the list below and do join us on the 25th March for the meet up at Simpang Bedok, aite.

Is okie I understand tat in here have Malay frds cos I tot of onli drink hahaha sorry ah bro:-p

I understand your view on this better now Reeve niu and i really mean what i said when i mentioned dat "Carl’s Junior is a nice place for a meet up" and i also realise dat der is one advantage being located near to the main road ECP. As for the Simpang Bedok meet up location, like i said if der is a better location elsewhere we can always change it and if this ECP location has KFC nearby i am all for it. In dat way no issues arises as parking also is ample nearby. provided of course if the other riders also agree lah.

I agree with you on dat one on "both places have pros and cons" and my main concern was the halal certified location, i also understand dat most of us will probably be too busy to talk:deal: and share with each other but just in case one of us came straight from work or something and decided to have a bite:slurp: then KFC will be just fine.

Its also a good idea to get the feedback from other Muslim riders too.

ManBusa, what say you? The other riders are also welcome to have a say...

I hope at least some of you riders will respond:bounce:.

Sorry to barge in

But may I offer a suggestion?

Why not try the Mr Tea Tarik behind Carl's JR

Instead of turning right, turn left when u enter the carpark

Ample parking space and you guys can actually

oogle and see the bikes.. better that Carl's Jr

and definately better than Simpang where parking is a *****

also its Halal for the Muslim bros

Ill try to come down altho I dont have a Busa YET LOL

Need to ask you guys what to look out for before I get one

Im hoping to get one within the next few weeks

Guys,

Sorry to disrupt the talk on the meetup stuff.

I'm in the mood to buy the SW Motech rack, just the top rack. However I can't seems to justify parting $200+ for a 1st hand one. I can make one simple rack myself but lazy to do all the measuring and fabricating etc. Thus if anyone want to let go his, if there is, let me know by PM. By the way I'm looking for Gen 2 version. Photo of it,

Hi guys... Been awhile since i manage to go online.. So took me awhile to read all the back dated post. I see great response bout this future meet up. Love to meet as many of you guys on the 25th. As for the meet up place, I would definitely suggest East Coast Big Splash carpark. Strategical kinda the middle of east and west. Huge space to park and ogle at the bikes, share tips n riding experiences. As the food, there is Mr Teh Tarik for the muslims as well. Hope its ok with everyone.

Hope to see all there!!
