To Scrape Or Not To Scrape

Hi all, I’m new here and need some advice from you guys

 

I just got my 2A license and i wanna get my dream bike (I don’t dream that high haha).

 

However, I need advise on what to do with my current bike. I am riding a CB190R currently, and it’s only about 1 year old. The shop which I wanted to buy my new bike from, is not keen on reselling my bike. They are offering me my remaining COE for my bike, and they intend to scrape it.

 

The fastest way is of course, to take up the shop’s offer, which my friends also recommended doing.

 

However, I am hesitant because my bike is pretty new, low mileage (less than 10k), and it just felt like such a pity to scrape a relatively new bike. I’m not sure if most riders feel this sense of attachment to their bikes, but I do. The thought of scraping it makes me feel sad. I guess this is the biggest hold back.

 

I tried listing online for sale but did not receive much enquiries

 

Sticking to this bike and don’t buy a new one is probably not an option now because I ordered a new bike already

 

The options left are probably:

1. Sell to shop for scraping

2. Try to sell online (which I am already trying)

3. Keep 2 bikes (is it a good decision?)

4. I can’t think of any. Please advise.
