Speedo reads 92 km/hr at 5k rpm.

 

Look like the gearing is similar to R6.I have a friend's R6 reads 90km at 5k rpm too.Just for your info,FZ6 reads 100km/h at 5k rpm.

still running in my diverse. daily commute at 90km/h 5k rpm. Happy with the bike. my intention is cruise comfort not looking to reach point a to b in the fastest time possible.

If I'm not wrong ,it should be abt 5 to 8 hundred diff. Better check with bike shop.

That's bcos XJ rear sprocket are bigger (more teeth) than FZ6 if i'm not wrong. If i drop 2 teeth, i think i can get 100km/hr at 5K rpm. Set back is there will be power loss at low end.

Every bikes bulid are for some reason...,to me every bike is good regardless of brands or type. Till now, i,ve not seen a bike with zero sale from any brands.

yeap... learnt alot from there and google/youtube.. but still alot to learn as FI becomes the new standard.. everything controlled by computers....

 

i dono if that's a good thing cos i tried a FI R15 and when i opened the throttle there was a slight delay till there was any response.... as opposed to a carburettor bike, the response is instant.

FI are more consistant and precise over at high rev, and it can be program. Carburator purely base on vaccum but it's more responsive at low rev.U can search more on their working principal as it's too detail to type over here.

Yes they are design for specific riding style, owner can go beyond that but might not experience the best of the vehicle.

XJ6 still not very popular becos this baby bro still living in the shadow of its senior FZ6. Money wise consumer get to choose a higher BHP FZ6 at reasonably lower price. So long its easy to handle/agile, decent acceleration and reasonable fuel consumption that should fit our rd well.

Xj6 are suppose to be budget bike. However, as FZ6 are already in production for more than 6 yrs, the mold cost had far breakeven. That's why it can be sell cheap. For xj, all the mold are newly design (except some engine part), so if yamaha factor in it's investment cost, the result is no longer budget. Maybe few years down the road, the price may fall lower.

I dont think got black. Unless u go and re annodize it to black colour.

Personally, I think the rack is a bit too long. Not really look nice on the bike. However, the rack are much strong compared to GIVI one.
