I kind of use to the top box now . At first I felt the rack too long, but now the more I see the more I like it. It's more unique than normal rack.

my concern is that the GIVI side panniers will not be able to fit if i use the Yamaha top box rack.

 

Most likely won't fit. Better check out first

finally reached the 1600 km mark. havent had the chance to hit above 7k yet. Prob tomorrow after work.

mind ask how's the torque at 3.5K RPM? OR you can feel it earlier?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

I feel nothing below 4k, 4 to 5k feel like 600, 5.5k above than will feel the real pull. Don't forget, it's still an R6 base engine, so need high rev to get the ponny out.

Im happy with the powerband.. below 4k is just right for riding ard the heartlands. anything above that for highways... haven had the chance to reach 8k yet.... damn rain and speed limits

that's a must... I tried going NSHW with a open face helmet... killer man... actually nid not have to speed, just relax... enjoy with decent speed.

there's no helmet lock with this bike right?

 

No direct lock, they provide a cable for u to hook round ur helmet a hook to the middle under the seat.

Hey guys, just got my XJ6N yesterday. Got to admit the cool looking exhaust got to me. Workmanship on the bike seems pretty good, except for the footpegs, kinda of cheap looking.

 

Just curious how are doing your running in for the bike? engine oil change at which mileage?

 

Also anyone added any accesories lately? it seems like there ain't much accesories on the market. Seems like only a small group of XJ6 riders here.

Hey guys, just got my XJ6N yesterday. Got to admit the cool looking exhaust got to me. Workmanship on the bike seems pretty good, except for the footpegs, kinda of cheap looking.

Welcome, yes we are a bunch of unique one. According to manual for first 1k km stay below 5.8k rpm, then change oil and filter. 1k to 1.6k stay below 7k rpm then change oil and filter again , after that consider run in done. For accessory go thru this thread from pg1 and u'll find some info. Engine the ride.
